I have a 2 hour break after Alex Lahey if anyone wants to continue to tie and meet up. I’ll have an eagles super bowl shirt and running my mouth to anyone in opposing gear all day.

Getting there a little before noname. Would be down to meet at that stage before. Wearing an oversized Cardinals jersey and khaki shorts
Those stage sprinklers can be devilish. It felt like they were running for about a third of Kali Uchis' set. I wound up throwing out yesterday's pair of socks.
I'm going to leave right after BROCKHAMPTON tonight so I won't have to deal with the warzone crawl like last night.
How was Kali??? I really wanted to see her but I have tickets to a club show so I'm not upset about missing her.

Getting off the Island yesterday was completely unacceptable. Tonight I'm just bulldozing my way through the main exit. I'm going to be as obnoxiously American as possible. Also the Mountain stage is really pisssing me off I don't know who thought it was a good idea to put it up on a plateau, but sightlines suck so bad. Future Islands are the only set I've seen there where I feel like I actually attended the set. Water situation is still not great, and I thought sound was across the board quiet. Sorry for bitching but I'm a lil disappointed at the logistics of this fest considering how good it was in '16. But the music has still been great for the most part.
Alvvays - Freaking awesome. Third time seeing them, and my experiences thus far have been mixed, but they were on their A game yesterday and the crowd was very good.
Kali Uchis - Her sound was TERRIBLE. she sounded like there was a muffin between her in the microphone so so muffled.
Blondie - I saw them last year with Garbage and was prepared for the new arrangements and Debbie's compromised vocals, but I thought the show was still great. I think Debbie for 67 is still a great front woman and it was very cool seeing her right after seeing Karen O, there is a very obvious influence.
Future Islands - Saw them at P4K in '15 and hated them, this was much improved. I still think their beats are all exactly the same, but the show they put on is undeniable irresistible. And the screaming is choice.
Khalid - My group wanted to check them out. Talk about Vanilla. Couldn't be more boring, atleast the crowd was relatively well behaved. Though I found a used condom before Monkeys....
Paak - bummed I only caught half to get a good spot for Monkeys, he was great. So high energy and his catalogue is already surprisingly deep.
AM - Saw them in '14 on a 105 degree day at sunset and wasn't feeling it. Much better this go around. I love the new stuff it has a Shadow Puppets vibe which is my preferred Alex Turner project. And the old stuff sounded great on a big main stage. The opening 4 jams were fucking sick, my face melted.
1)Arctic Monkeys 2) Alvvays 3) Paak 4) Blondie (this is bias they're one of my favorite bands) 5)Future Islands 6)Khalid 7) Kali
Florence + The Machine today. I will cry. I have every other time I assume the same today. Loved watching her dance side stage last night.

Kali was goddamn great. She was my third favorite set on Saturday after Arctic Monkeys and Anderson Paak.

Sounds like most of the problems you guys had with overcrowding ect, will be fixed next year when they go back to their original venue. I highly suggest if this was your first time attending, to give the fest another shot then. You will not be disappointed.
I had no issues with the layout, I liked it once we got down the logistics. Yesterday was the best day for me. Trombone Shorty put on the performance of the weekend along with Paak. I was really impressed with Goldlink too, I didn’t like his Coach set but this was really good. We got within a few rows for just about everyone pretty easily. Franz and Jungle were also awesome and thinking about it now most of my top sets came from the green stage. 100% would come back for this but I’m not buying blind tix for a fest anymore so as long as they continue with another strong lineup I’ll try to come back.
I think my top sets would look like:
1a Anderson.Paak 1b Trombone Shorty 3 Franz Ferdinand 4 Jungle 5 Sylvan Esso
Hard to pin down a best set and even day. Ill review when I can type on a keyboard. Yesterday was rough getting going because I was out til 430am after MSTRKRFT. Everything was great. Bummed I missed the National but that bridge to the North was completely backed up by people who i am now assuming were just overflow from post malone.
I would move to come back next year and have over a week here.

Yesterday was great. There are logistical issues with this site (trying to get all 40,000 or whatever people out an 8 ft exit is laughable, but this lineup was just so fucking good. Yesterday was my favorite day for sure
Lewis Capaldi - Solid not vanilla pop songs, the world needs more of this
Alex Lahey - I think she's going places, a more pop/punk version of Courtney Barnett, really really solid.
A R I Z O N A - I fear they may be the next Twenty One Pilots or Imagine Dragons because the world needs more generic alt rock
Noname - I had issues all weekend with the mics at the Valley stage they were very fuzzy and not clear Whatever channel they were going through was not working well. I couldn't understand a word she says and I know her songs pretty well.
The Neighborhood - I think they were kind of brushed off early in their career as a one hit wonder, but the truth is the hip hop/ rock fusion thing they're doing is interesting IMO
Borns - It was an awesome setlist got pretty much everything I wanted except for "Fool" and "Dopamine". And I actually thought the new stuff sounded way better live than I thought it would. I got SOAKED my clothes I wore yesterday are still wet by the water cannons at this set, but in this scenario it was fun.
Jungle - They need to cover the BeeGees. I love some good Disco, this was VERY good Disco.
Blood Orange - A little underwhelmed, but I think that has more to do with following Jungle and Borns which were so in my wheelhouse rather than anything that was happening on stage.
Franz Ferdinand - Enjoyed this way more than I thought I would. Alex Kappanos was the best male front person I saw all weekend (Including Alex Turner)
The National - Shit their crowd was small. I cannot believe that facial tattooed orangutan can pull the crowd he does and the National couldn't even fill back to the soundboard. That being said they were great, "Day I Die" was the set stand out to me. Whenever Matt howls it makes me very very happy.
Florence - I cried the first 3 songs but she could go out there and cover the YMCA and I'd probably cry. That being said there were some weak spots in her set. I understand why she opened with Between Two Lungs, but it was a weak opener. I really do not like Only If For A Night, I wish she hadn't played it, and Big God felt weird as part of the encore. That being said getting the live debut of South London Forever was very cool, and Cosmic Love was a very welcome very appreciated surprise.
Sunday sets 1) Florence 2) Borns 3) Jungle 4)Franz Ferdinand 5) The National 6)Alex Lahey 7) Blood Orange 8) Lewis Capaldi 9)Noname 10)Arizona
Top Ten for Weekend
1) YYY 2) Florence 3) Borns 4) Jungle 5) Arctic Monkeys 6) St Vincent 7) Sylvan Esso 8) Alvvays 9) Future Islands 10) Franz Ferdinand

I wasn’t bothered so much by the overcrowding, but then I didn’t see Post Malone or Travis Scott. Was bothered by talkers especially during Portugal the Man and even James Blake. Is this layout really worse in terms of crowding? I had gone one day in the past (Radiohead 2016) and was more bothered by the side-by-side main stages since no one seems to move between sets especially late. Do most people feel that the old layout is better?
That said great festival! My top sets: Fri: James Blake Alex Cameron Lykke Li St. Vincent Yeah yeah yeahs (would’ve been top set but just saw them at govball HM: felt bad for Julien Baker - dealt with sound bleed from Ile stage, and sound issues of her own. Portugal sound was too quiet and I was grumpy from too many talkers waiting for ‘the song’
Sat: Carpenter Brut - holy hell. Had the rail which helped Alvvays - love this band and crowd was excellent Lord Huron - enjoyed way more than expected Calpurnia - also pleasantly surprised/impressed Blondie HM: Bedouin Soundclash - didn’t know them but great show Rezz (so shoot me) was more than fine - hated to miss Arctic Monkeys, but will see at ACL. Best day for me as most sets exceeded expectations.
Sun: Franz Ferdinand - great energy and I simply love their songs Jungle National - one hour just isn’t enough Florence Trombone Shorty HM: Alex Lahey
