Anderson .Paak was the best of the fest thus far, yes Lawd! Insane energy but would've been just as enjoyable for a tiny crowd. He's the real deal
Sadly, had to leave before Arctic Monkeys because my aunt went into emergency heart surgery and my brother and I needed to call family/be supportive. Hoping we're still fully able to attend tomorrow
Ok day 2 recap: not as exciting as the first day and the hour it took to get off the island didn’t help. Future Islands, Paak, and AM all made up for it though
THE BAD:
Blondie: kind of a fun booking. Super cringe to watch though. She looked super uncomfortable up there.
LANY: Saw them cuz a friend (who has recently had pretty terrible taste) loves them and yikes. They are worse than I thought. They’re essentially a boy band for tumblr girls. De La really screwed up my morning.
Khalid: The crowd wasn’t as terrible as I’d expected but this dude’s music could not get more vanilla. Literally feels like it’s pandering. He has a nice voice but he kinda does the same thing over and over with it and can’t really sing that high either. This is what I get for actually giving artists like this a chance. That being said, you can catch me at post tomorrow
THE GREAT:
The Arctic freakin Monkeys: Pretty good setlist. Super stoked about getting From Ritz to Rubble. The crowd wasn’t really feeling the new stuff but they sounded great overall. Also not a fan of the added Synths to the AM stuff
Anderson .Paak: favorite show of the day. The dude knows how to perform and I am rooting hardcore for him to get the headliner bump some day. Definitely feel he has a few more great albums in him.
Future Islands: Amazing performance and the crowd was surprisingly accepting of the growls. I do wish they had a some variety in their discography as it did feel pretty formulaic at times

Those stage sprinklers can be devilish. It felt like they were running for about a third of Kali Uchis' set. I wound up throwing out yesterday's pair of socks.
I'm going to leave right after BROCKHAMPTON tonight so I won't have to deal with the warzone crawl like last night.
