I feel uncertain about Sturgill. My favorite record of his by far is The Sound & The Fury, and I lucked into seeing him play it (and some other tunes) at MHOW in what was a PHENOMENAL show, but I know he's leaned away from that style in the intervening years and I feel like it kind of ruined me for all his other stuff.

MAYBE NEW NYC FESTIVAL EXCITE
Looks promising based on the lineup at Merriweather Post Pavilion this year. we will see!
Yeah, it'll be interesting to see who ends up playing it. A bunch of the top names from the MPP version won't be in the lineup because they're already playing NYC-area shows this year...but, there have been a few names in relatively recent tour announcements that conspicuously skipped the city.
Maybe this new festival will include Lana Del Rey finally playing the area.
Ugh, I hope not. I don't necessarily have a problem with LDR's music in general, but I feel like it's a total drag at a festival, especially as a headliner. BRING THE ENERGY.
I'm really getting way too excited about this. The lineup will probably still skew much younger than the type of stuff I'm interested in.
Chances are I'm not going to be able to go, even if the lineup is to my liking, just because September/first half of October is absolutely bonkers for me with shows already and even if I have nothing scheduled I will need to rest!

Lineup drops Tuesday
I wonder how much overlap there will be with DC. Based on tour dates, a lot of the big names are out like Bleachers, Conan, Hozier, Maisie, and Remi. Chappell, Janelle, Laufey, and Renee seem to be available
