Muse skips NYC on their new tour, or is just not allowed to announce after that Alt Fest occurs
Probably not allowed to announce another area date until the Alt 92.3 Christmas show sells out. They have a gap around Boston/Philly so imagine they'll announce a date then. They're also doing a promo show at the IHeart theater on 11/14.

The 1975 seem to have lost some hype, so if they headline that'd be lame. Red Rocks, Anthem and WaMu are still very much in-stock, and even though United Center sold out floor, there's plenty of bowl seats.

They’re probably booked anyway so why would it be lame? It would just means other fests are less likely to book them in the future which is good.

How have they lost hype? It's been like two weeks lol

It would be lame because them headlining was obviously not a smart move and the idea that the Manager for 1975 coaxed Gov Ball into a headliner spot for them because of that United Center show would be lame. I think its much less likely they are top 3 today than before

Cause they'd be a weak headliner, to me. I agree with your second point.

They still move more tickets than Phoenix does these days but I'd assume they'd close out the Honda Stage, not the main stage or possibly have a spot like Halsey did last year.
For what its worth at the Lolla aftershow Ezra played 5 songs from the new album, so I can confirm that a new album is coming and there are actually songs done, no idea when it drops tho
