Feel like Launchpad has alluded to the fact that Founders just does NOT like 21P but I could be wrong. They'd be a slam dunk headliner though. Wonder if we're getting any of the 3 from Coachella (Kanye, Gambino, Timberlake).

This might be the year I jump off the ride then. Had a good time the past few years but unless there's decent indie/alt counter programming, I'm starting to feel like the creepy old guy at the college party when there.

Sigh. He's going to headline, isn't he? I just really hope they put someone opposite him, as opposed to doing the unopposed thing. But my gut tells me if anyone would get that treatment, it'd be fucking Kanye. Ugh.

Gotta be honest, last year's counter programming for this old guy was on point. If they can stick to that formula, Ill be back

Ugh, it's not for me. I mean, if I'm being honest, I've disliked Kanye for a long time, and I think he's a pretty wack MC. But all this most recent bullshit he's been spouting...like, Smashing Pumpkins' first 3 records were stone classics of my youth, but Billy Corgan is a big Infowars guy, now, so there's no way he's getting my concert dollar. I guess everybody has their own particular threshold for that kind of thing. Kanye's been way over mine.

I've been VIP since 2014, it's more of the entering/exiting and walking across the field that start to feel extremely weird to me at my age. That being said, if there are cool acts booked I'll be there.
Founders booked Ye for Yeezus and TLOP, I wouldn't be surprised if they got him for this album cycle, too. Disappointed, but not surprised. I've seen him whenever I could since the Yeezus tour and like someone posted, his live show is nothing short of amazing. That said, with everything he's been shouting since April it feels like there's a stronger I'm Done With You fatigue regarding his BS for a lot of people, including yours truly, an admitted Ye stan. I imagine it'll take a hell of a lot for him to get in peoples good graces again - no matter how good YHANDI is. KSG would be much better, but really this is a great opportunity for Founders to look to the future. Rihanna, Ariana, Frank. Keep promoting acts to headliners like they did with Travis - Cardi, SZA, Tyler, Solange, Future, Tame Impala

This, big time. It's absolutely exhausting to have to deal with Kanye's crap as a fan.
If Gov Ball is looking towards the future, they can't book Kanye. It's gotta be Kendrick Lamar, he's gotta be the headliner for hip-hop. Kanye can draw a crowd, but with all of his nonsense, his booking is a "high risk, high reward" type of deal.

Yeah I used to be a massive Kanye fan. Saw the Yeezus tour 3 times and 3 other times besides that. But I'm done with him. Aside from his music these last 2 years being pure trash, he's just proved himself to be an absolute asshole. It upsets me that Coachella waited until now to bring him back. Kanye in 2019 is the most unappealing festival headliner in my eyes. I really hope Founders do better.
I don't know, people are going crazy over her looks just turning herself in. Everything she puts out or is featured on is a hit. If she's a #2 anywhere, I could absolutely see Gov Ball giving her the spot
idk i think she'd be lucky to be #2 at MIA next year. i feel like a lot of her hype has died off tbh.
I believe the plan was to do a headlining tour after the album came out but I think her pregnancy messed up her album cycle. A tour would’ve really helped her case. Now, she’s doing festivals and the occasional homecoming show. I totally understand her taking it slow after giving birth, but I think 2019 is the year she’s gotta take it up a notch with a tour, more festival appearances, etc.
