This has been the biggest issue with the last 3 years IMO.
I actually enjoyed 2017's Thursday. Hippo Campus, July Talk, Mondo Cozmo, Lemon Twigs, Orwells (RIP), waiting for the no existent Glass Animals secret set, and especially Allan Rayman were all fun. I don't really have anything before 2016 to compare it to though.

Meh still compared to 13-15...
13: Alt-J, Father John Misty, Killer Mike, Japandroids, Purity Ring, The Polyphonic Spree secret set, ALO with Jack Johnson, Ariel Pink, Haim, Houndmouth, DIIV 14: Ty Segall, Cloud Nothings, White Denim, Pusha T, Rudimental, Polica, J Roddy Walston, Real Estate 15: Mac Demarco, Courtney Barnett, Jungle, Iceage, Growlers, Temples, Strand of Oaks, Glass Animals, Benjamin Booker, Houndmouth

Damn, I didn't realize The Orwells disbanded. I just googled it, yikes. I also really enjoyed 2017's Thursday, this past year was pretty weak though.

I still consider 2016 a good year for the Thursday lineup. We had Bully, Vulfpeck, Hundred Waters, Twin Peaks, Hinds, Cashmere Cat, Lizzo, Waxahatchee ect.
For me Bully > Hinds > Twin Peaks > FKJ > Cashmere Cat was a lot of fun

I had a great time Thursday 2016. Vulfpeck in particular was a great "hey you're at Bonnaroo!" type of set.
even though 2015 was objectively a better lineup top to bottom than 2016, I had more fun at 2016 as a whole. didn't hurt that I was excited for all three headliners, which almost never happens.

I'm tempted to just list out all of those names from 13-15 again. Just such quality compared to 16 imo. Waxahatchee, Vulfpeck, Hinds, Twin Peaks are all decent to good, but there were straight bangers on those other lineups that would comfortably close out tents or even stages on Fri-Sun now.
As usual I love the new Metric album and would looooove to see them on the lineup
I'd like to see them too. They have a March date in Indy w July Talk opening but something jacking hotel rooms up to an outrageous price that night (NCAA tourney maybe?). I could forego hotel, drive & just not drink but my Egyptian Room history suggests that's not likely. July Talk was very enjoyable at Roo in '17 too.

I'm definitely going to that Indy show! I haven't stopped playing this new album since it came out, it's so good.
George Ezra has such a unique voice. Really liking his newer song Shotgun. Where would he be billed and what stage do you think he’d play? What stage early or Which preheadliner?

I dont know anything about Metric, but tempted to get a ticket for this just because a mini-Inforoo meetup in Indianapolis sounds like a blast (Egyptian Room is walking distance from my apartment)

boygenius (Phoebe Bridgers, Lucy Dacus, and Julien Baker) would be a cool booking. And them separately.
What about doing an all-female, or female-focused superjam?
Bonnaroo proud to announce:

Featuring Allen Stone, Third Eye Blind, guy from My Morning Jacket that isn't Jim James, Pretty Light, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong vocalist dude with the crazy eyes, Zedd the DJ but on drums, G-Eazy, and special white male guests.

2019 Shows: 4/30 - Vampire Weekend 6/28 - Father John Misty & Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit 9/6 - Cardi B w/ Teyana Taylor 9/28 - Vulfpeck w/ The Fearless Flyers
Went to ACL this weekend and it’d be cool if they just straight up copied that whole lineup lol.
St. Vincent Janelle Monae Mon Laferte The Revolution Parquet Courts David Byrne Phoenix The National
Who of these have already been ruled out? Lol
I'd be thrilled with that honestly, The National might be my favorite live show ever so if Bonnaroo could land them you will see me in the pit. But they have to be done touring soon. I'd think Janelle Monae is definitely doing fests on the heels of her most recent album. The rest of those (besides probably phoenix) I could see being in play. Fingers crossed we get vampire weekend with a new album as well
Any of these names since all of these either haven’t played and need to or have played but it’s been awhile and they are bigger now and need to play again.

Don't know what any of their touring plans are, but I'd love MGMT, Nick Murphy, Parquet Courts, and Gus Dapperton. Hopefully MGMT tours again because it would probably make my girlfriend's weekend.
