I really need one kid's three-day pass. I've been next in line for kids' singles for Friday, Saturday and Sunday on Lyte for almost a week and I'm surprised not one has hit. My daughter just turned three a couple months ago, so this is the first time she needs a ticket.
I'm also on the hunt for two regular tickets for Saturday and Sunday, each.
I have one extra Hiss aftershow I can offer as partial trade for any of this.
Thanks.
What are they gonna do, ask your 3 year old for ID?
Morning And Happy Newport! Might be a long shot at this point but anyone have an extra Friday ticket? Will pay in person or venmo/quickpay. PM me if you can help!
If you’re bringing a camera, watch out. I got told they can’t allow my camera in since the lens is over 3 inches. Never had a problem before with my camera in the 6 yeas I’ve attended.

Got told that when they checked your bag?
Got told at the gate, had to walk all the way back to my car
I liked the idea Aaron had in mind for tonight but I don’t think the cafe is such a venue to facilitate that much switching around.
That being said, I absolutely enjoyed the show! And that was one of the annoyingly loudest (chit chat, not cheering) audiences I’ve ever been in.
Agree with your assessment. Hard to switch in and out there when you don't have a dedicated backstage area. And these 2 dudes next to me talked non stop all night. I moved and they moved right next to me and then a 3rd bro joined the conversation, wtf! Anyway still really enjoyed the show. Stoked for today!

Day of the show, y’all. I’m usually pretty regimented about a fest schedule, but I’m experimenting with playing it looser this time around. Tentative plans:
Black Belt Eagle Scout (assuming I can rally my group to get their butts in gear in time, which doesn’t look likely at this point) > Adia Victoria/Yola > Cedric Burnside > Charley Crockett > I’m With Her > Kacey Musgraves > Sheryl Crow > Highwomen > Phil Lesh
But all of that is subject to addition and/or change.
If you see a middle-aged dude in a green sun hat and a blue shirt honoring Seattle’s monorail system, I will gladly return any high fives offered.
Caamp album and merch for sale at the Artists Tent. Word has it that they are doing a pop up show somewhere in the audience. Not too helpful, but something.
The more I look at the schedule (finally), the more I think I may just camp out at the quad today until the headliner. Liz reminded me last night how great they are live and that was the only quad set I was indifferent about only because I’ve seen her before.
Love Newport but the rules this year make zero sense.
-No detachable lens -Can’t ask for a setlist anymore after a performance -They’re getting pissed off for saving seats for people in the quad between acts
I was hoping I’d have to eat my words, but I stand by my board-unpopular opinion that The HighWomen should have headlined. Even not knowing any of the songs... they delivered. And were captivating throughout. As for Phil, I understand why those who love him love him, but he doesn’t offer much to casual listener. And probably why the crowds are exiting at the rate of a typical Sunday night collab headliner.
Glad I stuck to the Sheryl set. Saw her with Heart last week and it was good but today was great. It was definitely the standard you expect at Newport. Then so many great songs during that Highwomen set. I'll have to get that album.
