It’s Day 2: Conflict Boogaloo for me. So many tough decisions. I’m thinking it’ll go...
Illiterate Light > The Nude Party > Jupiter & Okwess > Rayland Baxter > Part of Lucy Dacus > Part of Jeff Tweedy > Part of Mountain Man > The Collaboration
But almost every choice there could get switched to someone else cool who’s playing at the same time.
Also hoping that our parking situation improves slightly today with an earlier arrival. A man can dream.

Top sets for me yesterday:
Sheryl Crow. My word. I'm not sure I've ever had so much unexpected fun at a show for which I wasn't purposely there. James Taylor was an added kick in the pants.
Yola, especially her cover of Goodbye Yellow Brick Road. My wife and I are music teachers, and we got to geek out with her after the set about laryngeal placement and subglottal pressure and all our geeky shop talk. She rocks.
Sebine McCarra in the Musuem. Such a wonderful young voice, and her songwriting has a fantastic spunk without betraying its New Orleans roots. Got to talk to her (and Cedric Burnside) afterwards as well. She's sticking around the weekend, and I sincerely hope she gets to sing with one of her heroes, Mavis.
Cook Bros. I've opted to see other folks every NFF, and boy have I been making a mistake. Awesome repertoire selection.
I'm With Her. Same situation as above, but my word can Sarah J crush on any instrument she picks up. Loved everything they did, especially the Vampire Weekend cover and the bluegrass standards trade off they did.
Looking forward to today, our "mystery" headliner, and helping Mavis celebrate her 80th tonight!
anyone know anything (guests, set times, etc) beyond doors at 8 and show at 9 tonight for Robert Ellis at the parlor? Trying to time my exit and last year we got there waay too early for glorietta night 2.
Warren Haynes was the set of the day for me by far.
Todd snider was great, but I'm feeling like I missed out by not seeing the highwomen. I've also never seen the harbor that empty.
Phil lesh was such a disappointment. I'm a big dead fan but never had seen him. Give me dead and company, joe Russo, even dark star over that snoozefest every day. Eyes of the world was good, but that's about it.
I also think Lucas Nelson should have been on the main stage, quad was very crowded for his set

Count me in as one who enjoyed the Phil set. Almost Cut My Hair with Warren and Benmont was one of the highlights of the day. Not enough Warren in the set though - that was his only song.
For the person who asked about Deer Tick schedule, last night they went on at around 11:10p. Thanks, Swamp, for the extra!
In the same boat, hope everyone is having a blast. I never would’ve one to see Sheryl Crow but her set sounded awesome on the stream. I listened to Todd Snider (who I’ve been clamoring for for years—naturally I miss the year he comes) and Lukas Nelson as well, all sound great.
What’s this Caamp record release after hours in the museum I saw on Instagram? We’re general tickets released to allow people to stay on site after the music was over?
They had this terrible idea of calling people to a random spot to grab free tickets for the show (announcement via the app; 20 minute notice of when the tickets would be given out), then only gave out 60 tickets to a crowd of 100-200 people swarming the poor lady with the tickets.
With that said, the idea of an after-hours post-headliner show in the Museum Stage was awesome. At least some lucky souls didn’t have to deal with traffic.
Thanks for the explanation! Sounds like a great idea, hope they don’t give up on it due to poor execution.
First one isn’t true, the lady you dealt with was misinformed.
Setlist thing is a bit odd Saving seats is ridiculous and I support their enforcement of that.
I wish they were still enforcing the no videotaping rule like they did last year. The Highwomen show was constant phones held up recording entire songs.
They also seem much stricter about the pit at the fort stage being full and not letting anyone else in which is annoying when you can see clear space.
The camera issue, I know, happened to a few people who got there early. Issues seemed to pan out when more people came in. As for the saving seats, I’m not about holding seats for people who don’t come immediately or in the next set after another set finishes up.. However, they were getting pissy with like people who leave quickly during the break in sets to go grab food or go to the bathroom. Idk, just an observation.
Also change my mind: Phil w/ The Terrapin Family Band is the worst “incarnation” of the Dead post-Jerry.
To be fair to you they tried to stop me from bringing in my 70-200mm this morning. Fortunately their supervisor said it was allowed.
It looks like there’s some confusion in their morning meetings when they say professional equipment is not allowed (he made it sound like they were talking about recording equipment but even I was confused when he tried to clarify it with them).
Sheryl Crow- best set of the day for me by far. Her band was incredible.
Warren Haynes- unexpectedly good. That version of Masters of War was powerful.
Yola- great way to start the day
I always try to explore someone I don't know at least once which led me to Yonatan Gat and the Eastern Medicine Singers in the museum. It is difficult to describe the wonder of this experience. Did anyone else catch this set?
Taking today off but will be back at the Fort tomorrow!
Not getting in today...scalpers out front were terrible. If anyone could help with two Sunday day passes, I would be grateful. Staying right off Thames and can meet later. Four Three Four - 825-5178. Thanks.

The top personal highlights for me yesterday were:
- Warren Haynes, Jason Isbell, Lukas Nelson and Jonathan Wilson doing a cover of Crosby, Still & Nash “Find the Cost of Freedom” and “Masters of War”
- Steal Your Folk was awesome, it was my first after-show and wasn’t disappointed! I especially loved Colin Meloy on “Row Jimmy”
- On the vein of the Dead, I enjoyed Phil’s set. Was it the best ever? No, but I loved hearing music of the Grateful Dead at my favorite venue - I thought a few of the songs were strong, especially the Warren sit-in
- Liz Cooper was wild
- Yola took me to church and was the perfect start to my day
All in all magical day for me. I wish I got to see more of The Highwomen but I was able to catch their first three songs before Phil. See you folks tomorrow, I have the day off today!

Wife & I wandered into the Yonatan set and couldn’t leave until it was over. Quite the surprise and fantastic performance

Hoping Brandi isn’t over promising with that “you’ll regret if you leave early”.
Also... it’s a total shame that Brandi couldn’t even find 5 female studio musicians to play in the backing band. I recently read an article about how hard it is for a woman to get a gig as a back up musician... I figured this set would rectify these issues in the industry.

and for those of us at home, what is the Collab?
After Sunday at tick last year jay drunkenly told Brandi she should try his job for whole set and she held him to it
