Fresh off her standout SXSW set, Yola visited Saturday’s CBS This Morning to perform three songs off her debut solo LP Walk Through Fire.
The British singer, one of Rolling Stone‘s recent Artists You Need to Know, and her band stunned with a mini-concert with renditions of “Faraway Look,” “Love All Night (Work All Day)” and “Ride Out In The Country,” all from Walk Through Fire, produced by the Black Keys’ Dan Auerbach.
Alright, we are over half way through the lineup. Let’s do a Bingo Update. How’s everyone doing? I’ve got 6 spaces, and no runs better than 2 in a row
Rayland Hayley Hendrickx Tweedy Jade Bird Mountain Man Courtney Marie Andrews
I have 7 so far: Courtney Marie Andrews, Hayley Hendrickx, Jade Bird, Kacey, Maggie Rogers, Mountain Man and Yola. Including the free spot, I have one run of 4.

Like a few others, I think I'm at seven, depending on interpretation:
Hayley Henderickx
Dawes (though I omit "and Friends")
Maggie Rogers
Lake Street Dive
Kacey Musgraves
Todd Snider
Amy Ray (I omit "Band")
I have four in one row (including the free space). To complete that row we would have to get Deer Tick (fairly likely IMO), Dispatch (reasonable), and Sylvan Esso (dreaming, although if we have Mountain Man...).

Andy is actually in the lead with 10. But he is being modest and forget to include Todd Snider in his list above. Or maybe he is worried about raising suspicions that he is Jay Sweet incognito.
solid day of new music, with Strand of Oaks and Jenny Lewis records at the top of my life.
still holding hopes for Strand and Tim at the fort (with or without his MMJ backing band). Jenny Lewis, despite my best wishes, will be in europe during NFF this year.
what else are people listening to?
Lots of good stuff today. I like the new Andrew Bird, Nilufer Yanya, Strand of Oaks and Ibibio Sound Machine. If Newport is looking for an international act this year, Ibibio would be really fun. They are playing Pickathon too.
Very on brand booking for NFF. First time he’s played? If so, a bit surprising it took so long.
With that said, not sure if I can continue to get excited for *insert person’s name* announcements moving forward unless that person is Dolly, Bruce, Neil, Eddie, or Paul.
