This sounds like a win-win situation. Make this the year of giving back. If every performer is giving, its easier for a more expensive act who would to play but has a "booking machine" behind them, to donate their performance for the Foundation. And, put your "booking agent hat" on: a performer who cannot perform because they bill at, say, $ 75,000 donates back $ XYZ; they maintain their billing integrity and the Foundation receives a contribution. I could have graded an essay in the time I wrote this. More fun.
I think he is saying that the festival will donate on behalf of the artist...like they did this year for Hurray for the Riff Raff. Not the artist themselves.

The handful of video releases this year have all been tied to donations to charities chosen by the artists. So yeah it makes sense that they'd expand that.
I imagine a lot of artists who have the means will likely also contribute to the donation in some form.
Super easy. And booked a hotel in Middletown (this time it's a suite so 4 of us won't be stuck in a tiny room for 4 nights each after a day/night of celebrating folk).
Guess I'm going back!
Although we ended up with too many tickets so there will likely be some put back into the Lyte queue at some point in the not so distant future.

It's gonna be a weird year for me. We have a wedding to go to in Massachusetts on Saturday. I only purchased Sunday tickets for now and I'll sell my soul if need be to get into the Sunday Deer Tick show. Hopefully once we've figured out the plans for the wedding we can get some resale Friday tickets too but for now it's just one day... not gonna bother getting a hotel yet either since I'm not sure if we'll be there for just one night or the whole weekend. Why do people have to get married the last weekend of July?

Starting to think I'm SOL...regularly gives me the option to select a quantity, but then tells me they're unavailable. Has 3 day changed to Sold Out for you east coasters yet?

Somehow the computer sold me two for Friday when I selected Sunday. Would take Saturday. Guess there will be swaps out there.
What a cluster. Had my sole 3-day selected, errored out while going through the payment page and just sent me back to the tickets page, which is now sold out.

Yo, by chance yould you be willing to sell one to me directly rather than go through lyte. Looking for 1 weekend ticket. Hit refresh for a half hour and nothing came of it.

all but 1 in our group got tickets this year! I had a relatively easy experience. Sorry for those who didn't. Our one friend had luck with Lyte last year though it isn't always bad! Also booked a house this year over in Narragansett. Hoping we won't regret the drive over - but anything is better than the experience we had at Motel 6 last year!
