I was able to transfer my Friday Deer Tick tickets for Sunday Deer Tick tickets through Seated. It was a little cumbersome in that you had to speak with someone at Seated to make the transfer, but they were great to deal with.
Anyone have any information on Newport Congregational? Do they have pews? Do we expect it to be a seated show?

So what is “Let us go into the house” is it just a name? A new supergroup? A theme? Interested why it wouldn’t just be listed as the names of the 3 acts playing
This aftershow announcement today is BY far the best announcement for 2019. Newport delivers.
I wish my ticket to NFF covered ANY of this, somehow!
Our group goes to Newport every year (our 9th straight) because of the aftershows. The festival is just gravy. The fact that our house is 2 blocks from the parlor is just extra gravy. all of the best moments at Newport have happened at these shows. Life goal is to attend 3 in one night. Have Done 2 a bunch

Yep, we're about half a mile away, nice quick moonlight buzzed walk to the Blues Cafe. Might skip DT this year for Pickens or Parlor though... Hmm...

Priorties 1. Tick Sunday (why even go to Newport) 2. Robert Ellis 3. Steal your folk (not a deadhead, but some in my are). Love Phil Cook. 4. Tick Friday 5. Tas-Jam 6. Charlie Crockett (If fall else fails ticket). I bet it’s great.

It’s tiny. 2 rooms. Maybe 100 people? Glorietta night 2 last year was so much fun
I'm leaning towards Robert Ellis, and potentially Charley Crockett. How do you guys like the Parlor?
really fun time, intimate venue but good for hootin and hollerin. only thing is the shows start and end very late there. went to first phil cool after show there and I think it ended around 130
“Any organization looking to stage an event would have to bring in its own chairs or rent them. Another problem is the limited lighting, which an event-holding group would have to augment.”

It’s Rhode Island so their laws are different than Massachusetts but I handle alcohol deliveries to churches around the state on one day licensing often enough so they should be fine.

I've never done an aftershow before, but damn, that lineup is looking nice. I think that mystery collaboration for Saturday they had announced yesterday is really cool too - it adds an air of mystery and intrigue!
I'll bet Phil Lesh and/or Warren Haynes shows up at the Steal Your Folk aftershow - that's the one I'm most likely going to try for, since I'm a huge deadhead (if you haven't guessed already).

Definitely Lesh. Bob Weir isn’t booked for anything this weekend. Just saying. The Cook after show on Friday night last year sounded like one of a kind. Maybe this year can outdo it.
Looking at that instagram with Jay and Mavis,I just started thinking why have I never thought about Joni Mitchell here. Although I kind of prefer her more jazzy stage, how amazing if Joni and NFF's great publicist, Mavis, and take your pick were the Collaboration. How sick would that be?
P.S. -- Glad I don't do after shows because all tix would be gone before I could decide which show to attend.

Here’s a little secret for those who really want to see a DeerTick show. Just go to the Blues cafe and wait it out. You will get in. Now that Tick is doing this lottery system, a bunch of the tickets end up in people’s hands that either can’t or don’t go. The Blues cafe monitors people in, people out and will let you in (not for free). It’s more of a battle of attrition With so many other shows in town, it’s even easier. They usually hold some tickets back as well.

Also, there's always people (like me some years) who go to the show but have an extra ticket or two and will gladly sell it for face value to people waiting. It's definitely possible and Deer Tick don't go on until late anyway. Plus, waiting outside you can at least kinda hear the openers.
