Apologies on the triple post, but it looks like the location of the Quad Stage changed slightly on the map in the app. I could be wrong, so someone else might want to confirm, but when I compare it to an older map it seems to have shifted slightly to the side.
1) Unfortunately this might move the stage to where QC used to set up for the day.
2) On Tuesday, NFF responded to a comment on Facebook about a woman attending while pregnant, stating that there would be a new shade tent at the Quad Stage. This might be further evidence that the layout inside the fort has changed slightly.
Given that The HighWomen, Dawes, and Portugal the Man are closing the Quad, I guess it’s possible that Newport made these changes to accommodate a bigger crowd.
Edit: Museum Stage doesn’t look any different, but it’s worth pointing out that Bose is setting up outside of it. You might be able to listen in via headphones. Or they may be broadcasting it using a Bose sound system?

I’m pretty sure Bose is there to promote their new Augmented Reality audio system.

Looks like the beer garden in the quad area will be closer to the music.
I'm overall happy with the schedule, though I am bummed about the Kevin Morby/Lucy Dacus overlap. Friday and Sunday are looking really nice, can't wait!
One To Be Announced (assuming it was NONAME's spot).
Some tough calls, but not too bad for my must sees!
Also a pretty big gap on the Quad Friday afternoon between Liz Cooper and I'm With Her...
That gap was filled with Cooks in the Kitchen. Seems they were left off the initial posting.
Overall very happy with the schedule. Sunday’s Hozier, Trey, Phosphorescent conflict is the only disappointment.
Yeah. Sunday afternoon is very tough. The Todd Snider vs Highwomen conflict is also not fun. Jade Bird got the Fort. Happy but would have liked seeing her at a more intimate stage. Surprised that Lucas has that Quad slot. Expect to see him on main stage collaborating though. Was right on Phil. He headlined other festivals and ain't cheap to get. Sheryl over Kacey makes sense. Sheryl's a bigger star internationally. Just look at her Glastonbury set.

Trey vs billy and molly is the only conflict for me but I’ll see plenty of phish this summer so it works out. Now I just need the rest of this week and next week to disappear so I can be on vacation!

I'm still looking to swap Deer Tick, looking for Sunday. I have Friday tickets. 3 if possible. Let me know!
Love the lineup. I'm surprised but happy Phil is closing the Fort being a giant deadhead, thought he was destined for the Quad. Milk Carton/Portugal/If I had a song is a killer conflict imo.
Nothing like a schedule release and the inevitable conflicts to make you realize how much talent will be on these stages over 3 days.
One interesting scheduling quirk, I think this is the first year where the very first artist playing on Friday is not playing the Harbor Stage. I wonder why they did that.
hooray hooray for schedule day, so wonderous. i am pretty happy with things and slightly less bewildered than when last year's dropped.
biggest conflicts (for me): cooks v. charley crockett highwomen v. todd snider ruston v. rayland maggie v. morby dawes overlap with collaboration
biggest surprises: dawes on quad and tweedy on fort - seems like a swap there would have made sense since Jim James played Fort for his solo in '17 phil headlining over highwomen
time to refine the playlists and do final preparations, let's do this

Pretty pumped about the lineup. Only a few tough conflicts for me (almost all on Friday, to nobody’s surprise): Adia Victoria vs Yola Cooks vs Crockett Lukas Nelson vs Sheryl Crow... and if I’m going to want to stay for ALL of the Highwomen or flake out early to get as much Lesh time as possible. The Trey Anastasio/Our Native Daughter/Strings & Tuttle overlap... althought it’s really more between the latter two. Would’ve liked to have time to catch some Trey though if that time slot was weaker.
And that’s pretty much it! Of course, this isn’t factoring in the museum... and I’m sure I’ll pull some audibles for friends and drinks and whatnot, but over all I can pretty easily draw a pretty easy path through the schedule for what I plan to see. Even Saturday, which I wasn’t too pumped on, lined up pretty perfectly to accomodate my tastes. I
I’m also curious what time Kyle Craft is going to play. If he’s set for the early side, I’d love to get in to see him. Although I might try and catch his pre-Newport Show just to grant myself one less conflict.

Upon quick glance, it looks like this may have been done to accommodate longer sets on the Quad throughout the day on Friday. Both Lukas and I’m With Her look to have longer sets than their Sat and Sun counterparts.
(Edit: upon second glance, each of these sets might only have 5 extra minutes which shouldn’t throw things off too much)

Did you hear that Kyle Craft was playing a festival set? He’d be a nice fill-in.

Any chance you could throw in individual set times for the museum stage since those are posted under each event? If not, absolutely no worries - already appreciate what you've done!
Thanks to the tip on how to see Museum Stage set times.
I’m ‘mad’ at whoever scheduled Angie McMahon against The Highwomen. Damnnnn.
Saaaaame - worst conflict I could've imagined honestly. I have to go with The Highwomen because Brandi is my #1 of all-time, and it's their first show. Pretty special. But I've been playing Angie McMahon more than anyone else since her announcement, and I'm super bummed to have to miss her.
Surprised at the love for the schedule. Probably my least favorite schedule since I started going.
Friday: -Highwomen on the Quad just seems like a weird move for their first show and I was really looking forward to being in the Fort pit for that one -Yonatan Gat vs. Cooks In the Kitchen is a huge bummer. Those were two of my top 5.
Saturday: -Second half of the day is a massive clusterfuck that definitely could've been avoided. Maggie/Kevin/Lucy and Mountain Man/Dawes/Collab is some rough shit
Sunday: Bummed about BLH vs. Nilufer, then another clusterfuck around Courtney/Daughters/Trey/Billy & Molly/Phosphorescent
Could Kurt Vile be the unannounced set? He's in providence that night.
I have been hoping for Kurt Vile to be added in some capacity given his proximity, but unless that set remains unannounced and he’s a surprise act, I think he’s far too big for the slot that is reserved.
I still think we’re going to get one of the regulars who are already in town (Aaron Lee Tasjan maybe?).
But I’d love for something more unique. Someone on here suggested Jamila Woods and I think she’d be a phenomenal booking. My own recommendation would be Cautious Clay. Probably too big but Japanese Breakfast would be awesome as well (and is at Xpnfest on Friday without any Saturday tour stops). I also hope for Hop Along who have an east coast tour that stops about a week before Newport.
And I wouldn’t mind Angie McMahon getting a second non-Museum stage set- apparently she’s blowing up in Australia right now and might be a household name in the near future. She has more Spotify plays than about 50% of the acts on the lineup.

Wow, take a little time off and the world passes you by! Even my app seems out of date: still showing last year's schedule.
So...looks like a very fluid, lots of cross pollination by acts kind of schedule. I mean, does Warren Haynes have a band? (Dickie Betts seems interested in getting off the couch). Belmont Tench? Is Lukas Nelson backing someone to return in a lesser spot? I've missed a lot of posts, so some of his may have been answered. Also --
Quad has become even more Stage 1A, especially if they add more sun covering. I also like the acoustics there more than the Fort, where the bass level always seems to be on 11. But Portugal the Man up against If I Had a Song? Judy Collins in the Museum seems, shall I say, disrespectful (then again, Kris Kristofferson played there then surprised at the Quad) but worse, a traffic jam. Maybe a wall does come tumbling down -- wasn't there mention of an expansion? And there are rock bands booked there this year.
To be Announced at noon at the Harbor? Well, Puss 'n Boots and Nathaniel Rateliff played the harbor with a twist.
Last note for now -- Phil Lesh seems an odd closing act over the Highwomen and/or Sheryl Crow. And a lot more limited audience. Me? I could listen all night, but this is either going to be a real weird fest, or the most inventive, incredibly amazing three days since I've been attending. Or both.
