Petals For Armor <3 Hayley Williams closing the Outdoor, make it happen Coachella.
If you had gotten the leak 2 weeks ago you probably wouldve been saying it then! Depends on her rescheduled tour. And its super sold out anyway. Probably signed on for Lolla and Roo though I figure. And if you think theres going to be any Paramore songs, she isnt gonna do that.
Theres going to be a decent appetite from people who wanna see artists perform full on and if they wanna watch. Its just on who values what and such. The biggest obstacle will be securing the stream links so you really cant share or people broadcasting their paid feed. All it takes is one. With that Super M one I mentioned, they had group members tweet out before the stream that they should not make illegal streams or face legal action. Who knows how far they would go, but its a whole other world to dive into.

Oh I knew about the leak, I just wanted to wait for release day. I didn't even listen to Part 2 when it dropped. I listened to Part 1, Roses/Lotus/Violet/Iris, and Over Yet then I decided I wanted to save the rest for release day. And yeah she's not doing Pmore songs on this tour cycle, but they did confirm Paramore is doing another Parahoy/album in the future so I'm happy about that.
I have/had a pit ticket to her show at the Wiltern. Super bummed. Even though it's postponed until probably 2021, the resale is still north of 200 dollars, crazy.
RTJ4 June 5th.. Wow they have a song with Pharrell and Zach De La Rocha on the same song.. I can't even imagine how that sounds
Pharrell does the hook I’d assume.
El-P x Pharrell co-production seems like it would berth something absolutely wonky sounding. In a good way. So I hope he's on the beats too. He is really versatile so I'm excited for that track the most. He could give us one of his rare harder rap verses that we haven't heard in awhile too.

An RTJ album track that wasn’t completely handled by El-P would actually be a huge disappointment. He’s crazy controlling over his beats though so I’m not worried about that happening. Pharrell could spit a verse I suppose but it wouldn’t exactly fit sonically with those three.

He's done verses in the past (sonically and topically) that would fit in with the other three. It's just been awhile since I've heard Pharrell rap like that. And I'd personally welcome a co-produced track just out of pure curiosity lol
I still don’t understand how checking temperature helps much at all for a disease with such a high percentage of asymptomatic carriers. To me it seems like a strainer with holes bigger than the noodles you’re cooking

Makes zero sense and just provides a false sense of security.

I think you are still more contagious when symptomatic.

I understand it still has some effectiveness but I hardly see it as a significant enough preventative measure.

Checking temperature will help you catch SOME carriers but certainly not all or even most. But that doesn't mean it shouldn't be done - it's still better than not doing it.

Theres standards that have to be put into place and as mentioned they can still catch some people by doing that at least.
Ive been thinking about how they could pull fests off and such with people in the fields and not in cars. If you use the template of an office with cubicles its feasible. Make em all plexi glass so you can see the clearly. And if people come and go from these areas others can take up the spot. Kinda like parking garages that have the green and red lights when places are taken. Plus Coachella kinda has the ground work laid out with what they do at Stagecoach. Theres walking lanes and fenced off areas where its standing or sitting. Using those kinds of ideas they can pull something off. Also what roo and other euro fests do with being up front and they switch out crowds. I think its a wiser move because you wouldnt want people up front all day, esp with what has to be done now anyway. And nobody gonna deal in 100 degree heat with a mask. Its already a problem with anyone at a super market that cant keep their mask on for 20 mins while in an air conditioned store.
This all sounds like such a pain in the ass to the point of please just take the year off and wait it out until we are all clear.
Uh, we want concerts and festivals right? You dont realize how much work it is just to put on a normal show it seems. So yeah, from now its going to be a gigantic pain in the fucking ass. Also, those are the kind of ideas that are likely floating around their offices trying to figure shit out so we can get what we paid for. You just enjoy the finished product but never think about the rest. Now is the time to learn about it all.
I understand the need for the industry to at least have some revenue however I don’t see people being willing to jump through so many hoops to go to Coachella/other concerts. It could end up being a huge money pit and people could be upset that they missed their one chance to see Frank Ocean this decade because of the times. On top of that, social distancing at a show seems kind of weird (I personally would be fine with it for the time being but prefer a good old fashion pit). I am on the train of wait it out and give us the real thing and don’t quite understand why you seem defensive on this. I work in the industry too and have spent years trying to break into the scene and want it back as badly as everyone else here. That being said, if I’m paying $1000 to go to California and see Frank Ocean, Rage Against the Machine, and Thom Yorke, I want to be able to enjoy them on my own terms

I don’t know what led you infer the second part there so I’ll leave that alone, but I do have the good sense to know that the majority of people would rather just wait this out than spend Coachella in a fucking glass box. We will all have music in time, so patience is key. Nows really not the time actually to tinker with mass audiences. What we do know though is that a prime benefit of festival culture is connecting with other individuals and I don’t think we can fully do that and have that cathartic experience until our we are over this.
