I made a quick mock for this. The colors of each act on the poster have no rhyme or reason, so I'm going off the assumption that the colors match the stage each act is playing.
California always gets these cool one day festivals.
living in/near Chicago, L.A. or NYC must be so nice. here in Boston the only festival we have is Boston Calling. Its not bad but I wish we had something like this or in my dreams p4k or fyf(rip).
Whoops, made a separate thread not knowing this one existed. But I love this lineup. Especially Tennis, they are one of my favorite bands of all time, I know not many are keying in on them with the rest of the line up. But I missed them last tour so I'm excited. Passion Pit doing a 10 year anniversary set for Manners is amazing to me too, I still remember discovering Passion Pit back in '09 when I was a Sophmore in HS. Stumbled upon The Reeling music video. Been a fan ever since.
As a Long Beach native, it's crazy how many good music fests we get now (This, Music Tastes Good, Tropicalia, Summertime in the LBC, Smokin' Grooves, etc etc.) I'll say this sells out in a few weeks if it goes at the same pace as the other 1 day Long Beach fests we've been getting.
God I love this lineup, I am totally the age demographic for it as this was all college/immediately post-college for me. I'm a little pissed that acts like YYYs and Rapture were floating about and GV nabbed them for this and not Coachella. I get the niche festival aspect as those are doing pretty well right now, but with a little Arroyo Secco exclusive here, a little Smokin Grooves there, and then this thing...a lot of interesting stuff is getting pulled out of Coachella to float up these other fests. And that makes me a little annoyed.
Tennis being one of someone's favorite bands of all time is one of the craziest things I've heard in weeks.
Their discography is deep enough now to where it's not super weird. Yours Conditionally is one of my favorite albums and them putting out the We Can Die Happy EP in the same year just solidified them even more for me. My music taste is all over the place though.. if we're just sticking to bands: Paramore, Tennis, System of a Down, Lush, Alice in Chains, Two Door Cinema Club, Coldplay, Hiatus Kaiyote to name a few off the top of my head, are among my favorites lol

Interestingly, my complete disinterest in Coachella this year is what made me very curious about Arroyo Seco this year. But now with so many excellent acts for Just Like Heaven, and other names that were floating around like Vampire Weekend and Florence now doing their own separate shows here, I'm really tempering my Arroyo expectations again outside whatever legacy acts they nab. Though JLH is aiming for such a specific timeframe of yesteryear that it might end up being a one-time thing (okay, they can do a 2005 throwback year with Interpol, Franz Ferdinand, Kaiser Chiefs, and Bloc Party performing Silent Alarm). Whatever, I'm excited for this.
I wonder how difficult it’s gonna be to get tickets for this.
Based on the popularity of the acts and the size of the venue, I think not hard at all. But I could be underestimating how much this will appeal to the LA yuppie crowd.
This is being talked about by everyone I know in Long Beach. Family, coworkers, a lot of randoms that I went to school with. The last event I went to at the venue was the Alt 98.7 Summer Camp thing and they only had one stage set up. It was also very crowded for Odesza and Death Cab by the end of the night. Adding more stages makes it more crowded and probably lowers capacity. $100 price makes this easy as hell to go to as well.
I'm going to be up at 10 am trying to get tickets for a few people because we don't think they'll be there for long.

I see you missed the irony in my last comment. Out of all major festival threads on this board, Firefly is the least posted to, and is pretty unanimously agreed upon to be the worst festival lineup of the year along with Hangout. Have fun blowing $800 on Post Malone though, seems totally worth it.

Fuck ya it’s gonna be totally worth it. Get drunk with my bros and celebrate the fact I haven’t given up yet. Firefly for life!!
