Holy shit, this lineup is incredible. Not sure how I would deal with all of the inevitable conflicts considering this is just a one day festival, but this has got to be my favorite lineup of the year so far.

Seconded - may they be trying to start a trend here? Scale it back, hit a homerun, bask in the glory.
It's got to be much easier from a booking standpoint to make a concised, focused lineup with 15-20 bands for one day than a multi-genre, multi-day festival where the attendees actually are getting a value. Wasn't that, to an extent, how all of this started - I know for me it was. Oh, I can go to Voodoo Fest for a couple of days and see a bunch of bands that I want for $125. Just Like Heaven for $99 (plus inevitable astronomical fees) is a great value.

I like your train of thought and agree with it. Start a tread of making a KILLER one-day line-up, charge us $125, and call it a day.

This lineup is incredible. As a New Yorker I'm so jealous you have this out there.
I'm holding on to slim hope that since this is a GV fest, maybe they also announce a NY version of it as a mini Panorama replacement. Like you say, at 1 day it'd sell out in a flash, and erase the stink of GV's past regional failures this decade. Only problem I see is that it seems a lot easier to get parks on board for fests in SoCal.
I wonder how difficult it’s gonna be to get tickets for this.
Based on the popularity of the acts and the size of the venue, I think not hard at all. But I could be underestimating how much this will appeal to the LA yuppie crowd.

Samesies, but I could see this being a springboard for Goldenvoice to bring Panorama back in 2020. The GovBall folks said in their AMA that the city is absolutely adamant about not allowing multi-day, ticketed events in Corona Park. If this is successful, I could absolutely see this model being recreated for a one-day thing at Flushing Meadows in a year's time.
Also that Smokin' Groves lineup has 10 more acts, thus much shorter set times. I believe with 3 stages, and 22 acts (7-8 per stage), the conflicts might not be that bad.

Maybe it's not gonna be an instant sell-out, but I feel like it's gonna be a bit difficult to get those $99 tickets.
I think looking at the tiered ticket prices they had for 1-day fests at the same venue, it'll be smt like 99-115-125-150 + fees, with the first three tiers selling out within few hours.
I made a quick mock for this. The colors of each act on the poster have no rhyme or reason, so I'm going off the assumption that the colors match the stage each act is playing.
