So is Primavera just going to pretend there never was a Los Angeles installation or something? Still absolutely zero communication or updates as far as I can tell. Hopefully something soon now that Barca has been fully cancelled.

pretty much. And lets remember its partly Live Nation’s deal also. Curious to see if they even attempt this at all in the future since their marketing doesnt really “work” here.
I know NIN isn't exactly an elusive live act or anything, but they're the exact type of headliner that can always justify an entire festival ticket for me. Really heartbroken about this one.

I think it's fair to say they're elusive on the festival circuit.
also, Sean Carlson was, and for all we know still might be, great friends with the Primavera crew. their first festival is headlined by the last headliner in FYF history? interesting.

NIN has played Primavera before. And a million years ago ( 4 months barely ) the info had popped up that NIN were signed onto to do all 3 Primavera’s and then had to be pushed to next year because Trent had another child and they had lots of other stuff that overlapped. Not totally a Sean Carlson get per say when theres been a relationship. Plus Trent has been LN friendly for a long ass time, and theyre backing the LA edition.
It was too early for NIN to do this Barcelona and were moved to 2021 . So it’s possible they have kept the same multiple festival contract.
And they are elusive to me. Barely ever play Ireland. Maybe twice in the last 15 years When I moved to Toronto they played London/Europe Now I’m back in the UK they drop a string of shows in Toronto
I’m desperate to see them but will have to wait until 2021 and Barcelona

Well fuck I'll buy a 2021 ticket now if they can guarantee those headliners. Seems too white dude heavy considering the Barcelona version's 50/50 line up tho
Pavement's 2 shows in Porto/Barcelona were billed as 2020 worldwide exclusive.
Rammstein vs. NIN on Sept 19th would have been a tough choice for some....had either happened.
You understand its still Primavera and time and time again theyve backtracked on their claims to things? How easily could have they left Pavement off the line up til the both Porto and Barca had passed? They bait and switch, people get pissed but then you have bigger demand for the lone U.S. date 🤔
Well its all been an underplay for them the last few years and likely having only 2 solo dates in the region gives a lot of people the option to see them. Plus they didnt play SD on the JAMC run.
