Were will call lines really that bad or was it people showing up at 5 PM thinking they’d breeze right through? Low key glad I had to bail if it really took that long to get a wristband.
We pulled up around 2:30pm and I walked right up and grabbed both passes - didn’t need the second person there. Came back a few hours later and line for Will Call looked super long. Walked right into the festival as Stereolab started. They were fucking great!
There’s some great vinyl and posters for sale near the port-a-potties.

Upside for Sat and Sun attendees is the 3-day will call folks should be weeded out by then (could see a few of them just going Sat/Sun if they had to work today), but I'm amused watching this all unfold. Reading a few tweets about overflowing crowds in the under-21 sections and Lorde hasn't even taken the stage yet. But sure, "over 99%".

Took us an hour to get wristbands. Which I knew arriving at 5pm after reading up on here but I had to work. I can imagine those not aware were more mad at the development.
Missed Acemoma/most of Clairo but she ended excellent. Mustafa was great but kinda sad Giveon was amazing Mitski was great but left halfway to get Chinese food
Super chill festival. Never waited in line for a drink. Got up super close. Will be giving my wristband to my friends for the next 2 days. Don’t see this festival returning. But good practice for Coachella with my gf who has asthma and crowd problems.
They got the sound right which is a huge thing. Darkside was CRANKED though. Not that its a bad thing but lots of peeps walked away from the front cause it seem too much. I figure 10k at most were there. Lorde had a respectable crowd for how many people were there but it wasnt insane. I dont see how many more people are showing up for tomorrow or sunday since NIN fans dont like fests, except for casuals. The under 21 section was def way full and theyre so stupid for thinking kids werent showing for linkpantheress,lorde, mitski and clairo. Reception was decent and had a few spots it wasnt working well but nothing to go crazy over. Zero idea how they think this can return if theyre going to have a similar sized lineup at an insanely high price point. Like I had said before, they charged Coachella prices so it was gonna turn a lot of people off cause thats now what you were gonna get out of this.

Did not feel very crowded at all once we got out of that will call mess. Got super close for Shellac, Stereolab, and Darkside and all 3 delivered. Mirror man was the mvp of the day.

today turned out so fun! we ended up going to our airbnb first and took the gold line straight to chinatown station (super easy!) will call did take about 45 minutes but once we got wristbands (we won the sole giveaway and we just showed email and id) getting in was smooooth. security did check a lot tho so be careful what u try to bring. I got in at around 8:20pm and caught the end of current joys and we STILL got a great spot for lorde! had such a great night i bought a $60 shirt and a cool ass poster from the artists they are so talented and make great designs! I'm so excited for tomorrow surf curse headline set ill be camping after fontaines dc AHHHHHHH
The sound was amazing and honestly I loved how sparse the attendance was. Intimate set for Mustafa. Got close for Darkside but then moved back cause that shit got loud. Had so much space for every act including Lorde. It probably won’t come back but damn, after dealing with will call, it turned out pretty great.
