Is there after-shows for this, and if so is it feasible to see the headliner that night in its entirety and make it to the after show?
I usually leave during the last two songs of the headliner to avoid the clusterfuck on the bridge. That being said, can anyone confirm if taking the buses off the island is any faster? I've always noticed the fairy line is totally backed up so figured that also wouldn't be quick but someone can feel free to prove me wrong.

The bus is great and pretty speedy IF (and only if) you beat the rush. They usually have a ton of buses lined up ready right as the headliner is finishing - but when those are full, you’ve got to wait with the masses for them to make the round trip (across the bridge to the subway station and back) and that can take some time.
For example, started walking leisurely toward the buses pretty shortly after they announced the cancellation last year - I got to the station quick, comfortably, and remarkably dry.

Friday is the most stacked for me. Saturday is solid throughout. Sunday is the weakest (again, speaking only of my personal tastes), but could end up being really solid depending on how the scheduling falls out. I have some real questions about how they're going to deal with the artists in the top two lines, that day - you have 3 big female R&B acts (Solange, H.E.R., and Summer Walker), plus Missy, all crowding the top of that day. Hopefully, they'll all be staggered.
Here's my want-to list by day:
Friday: Poppy Jean Crawford, Nasty Cherry, Frankie Cosmos, Nancy Whang, MUNA, Snail Mail, Danny Brown, Khruangbin, Foals, Stevie, Tame
Saturday: Jay Som, Slowthai, Poolside, PUP, Pinegrove, Earthgang, Bleachers, Of Monsters & Men, Carly Rae, Portugal. The Man, Vampire Weekend
I'm kind of even more in love with this lineup, now, you guys. I know NO ONE IS FINNA GO TO THIS DEAD-ASS ZOMG, but this is one of the stronger runs for my own personal tastes that I've seen the past couple of years.
Friday and Saturday are good for me...Not being much of a hip hop/rap fan and having seen H.E.R. and Solange before, I can give Sunday a pass...(goes to look at the options).
Edit: Didn't they have a 2 day ticket option last year, or am I imagining things?

I think that was Pano 2018. As far as I remember, GovBall's never had that option.

Ah, yeah, that's right, things blur together. Debating between a VIP 1 day for Friday or 2 regular price 1 days on Friday and Saturday. Friday has the must sees, Saturday has a bunch I could see but not burning with one or two I'd be a little bummed to miss.

For me it goes Sunday > Saturday > Friday
They did a solid job breaking this thing out. Hopefully they host an AMA because I know there's gonna be a bunch of conflicts, but I need them to please nail the Sunday stretch of Summer Walker to Missy Elliott. Without diving into the lineup -
FRI: Maxo Kream > Sasha Sloan > MUNA > Snail Mail > Madeon > Danny Brown > BANKS > Stevie > Tame Impala
SAT: Charlotte Lawrence > Jay Som > slowthai > earthgang > Steve Lacy > Bleachers > Carly Rae Jepsen > Ellie Goulding > Vampire Weekend
SUN: black midi > Princess Nokia > Dave > Dominic Fike > YBN Cordae > Maren Morris > Summer Walker > H.E.R. > Solange > Missy Elliott
Didn't plan on going to GovBall before the lineup and I just bought a Sunday ticket. After H.E.R. starting late W1 at Coachella last year and Solange cancelling, this is the redemption day I didn't even know I needed. AND I get Missy!
Can someone ask the old lady from Egypt what she thinks of Lana Del Rey headlining Coachella so we can know whether the festival has redeemed its reputation as a laughingstock worldwide
OK, after sleeping on the options, I just bought one regular single day for Friday. Didn't do Saturday since I didn't really feel strong enough about anyone on that day. Yes, seeing flushable toilets swayed me to just do the regular and not VIP, hehe.

Honestly this looks significantly better today after having seen the top heavy mess of BC and just the appalling awfulness of Firefly
You're not kidding. The top two lines of each BC day are awesome for my tastes, but then they drop right off a cliff with the exception of Friday and a couple of select artists Saturday and Sunday.

Firefly is just plain bad. Boston Calling is not too bad but not for $399 - Rage must be getting paid! I would have considered just going on their day but alas, it's also the one day where I have absolutely zero interest in the undercard, so I must hope for a NYC or Philly date at some point.
