How is Billie eilish allowed to play this with no days sold out, and then allowed to announce two shows at MSG in February?
Cause Live Nation can do what they want? Easily assume plenty of people bought a ticket just to see Billie at Gov cause its the only show this year and know they got plenty more willing to throw down for a solo date when the time came. And look above, low ticket warning. Its working itself out. there is more value in the single day ticket than the solo show anyway. Cause you can pay $150 to sit in the nosebleeds of MSG or maybe be front row at Gov, which is better?
Though it may be true...usually they put actual numbers on these limited quantity emails...that and multitude of other fests have announced their (superior) lineups make me feel this may be a little bit more advertising than fact
I got an email today from ticketmaster about an exclusive T-shirt bundled ticket option for Govball so they might be playing it up slightly about a "sellout imminent" domain, but it probably has sold really well. This lineup is popular with the kids, which seems really odd for me to say, given that I'm only 25 myself and have zero interest in it

HA I was thinking the same thing when it started thundering. I really hope they just still with September moving forward. The weather in early June is just too unpredictable.
While none of the headliners are exactly my cup of tea (and thanks to Live Nation for putting Post as the Sunday headliner so I can leave early and beat the crowds), the 2nd and 3rd lines of each day are phenomenal: Future Islands, Freddie Gibbs, Earthgang, Orville Peck, Cordae, Amine, Jaime XX, Dom Fike, and TWO A-Trak appearances should all be incredibly fun.
Not too familiar with anyone on the bottom lines - any I should make sure to check out?

I gotta say tho w the amount of rock/indie shows coming to NYC in the summer/fall not as mad not having to go to GovBall this year..Bright Eyes, Spoon, Manchester Orchestra, Foos at MSG, Modest Mouse, Khruangbin all touring in NYC...would be nice to see a few in one festival setting but at least shows are out there

Laundry Day is fun but Nation of Language are absolutely ones to watch. Their new song "Across That Fine Line" is a blast. Bachelor is also one of the highlight bookings too.
