we stayed over in Narragansett last year, and while the house we wanted to book from last year got scooped up super fast we still managed to find something else. last i checked there were still some places left over there for not crazy pricey. We had previously been staying at the motel 6 so having a full house, even though it was little further away was nice when we factored in not having to eat out for breakfast and dinner. Once out of fort traffic from the lot it was like a 35-40 minute drive.
Much appreciated. I’ve looked at Narragansett before but I’m always worried about how long it takes to get in. Do you take the ferry or drive over the bridge everyday when you do that?
We drove all the way in. We didn't find it to be that bad. We have our morning routine down to a science - the early bird makes the coffee and breakfast and we are out of the house and usually at the fort for gates. In the past we have only ever stayed at Motel 6 so just having a kitchen makes the drive worth it, getting home is a bit more annoying with the traffic out of the fort but still worth it to us. House actually in Newport are WAY out of our price range and our group is too small to make them worth it.

Well if this first run of announcements is any indication, I might be spared having to hear Rachel Price singing another civil rights anthem this year.

Watkins Family Hour has a new album coming out in April and they have tour dates scheduled through April and May. Hopefully they'll come to Newport as well.
Bwahaha... If only! My 10th year. I've either finally figured it out or I'm about to go up in flames. If past experience holds true, it will be the second.

Brandi is at the Filene Center in Virginia July 24th and 25th. Guessing she makes some kind of appearance at Newport again this year if not a full set. She's playing with an National Symphony Orchestra backing should be pretty cool.

We gotta get Felice brothers back this year. They seemed to be getting better with the chemistry of the new members. Could be a fun set and good late night opener
