I bought a single day Boston Calling ticket. It was almost $200 with fees! (IMO lineup is underwhelming for the price tag). I live a few miles from the Harvard athletic complex so it is easier than going to NYC to see them.
andyd17 and Melanie both picked up a square (along with others) with Caamp. What makes them special is that it was their third square in a bingo row.
Andy needs King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard, Kyle Craft, Delta Spirit and The Shins while Melanie needs Gary Clark Jr, The Black Keys, Nathaniel Rateliff and the Dixie Chicks

I like Melanie's odds.
Not looking likely since King Gizzard is in there - however, if they play, I’ll be genuinely stunned
Another solid Luck Reunion lineup. There tends to be some overlap between that and Newport each year, there's definitely a few I would like to see at Newport.

Upcoming Shows: August 7: Green Day/Smashing Pumpkins/Rancid/The Linda Lindas August 30: Waxahatchee/Snail Mail/Tim Heidecker September 17: Pearl Jam/Glen Hansard September 24: Idles/English Teacher
If both Bon Iver and the National headlined this year, would it be a friends sort of deal on the same night? Or would it be two separate headliners?
Osheaga kinda dashed my hope for Bon Iver. Going from Portland > Newport > Montreal on back-to-back-to-back days seems unlikely. Five shows in six days is a lot, but I'd absolutely love to be proven wrong.
Listening to Leon Bridges brought me to that Noah Cyrus song featuring him. It escaped me that Noah is Miley Cyrus's sister. I still can't forgive their Dad for the crime that was 'Achy Breaky Heart'. But this song almost makes up for it.
Well fuck. Just announced tour dates for The National:
7/29 - Vienna, VA w/ Julia Jacklin 7/30 - New Haven, CT w/ Sharon Van Etten 7/31 - Bethlehem, PA w/ Julia Jacklin 8/01 - Cooperstown, NY w/ Julia Jacklin

I'm worried about 5 shows in a row
Unless they’re finally doing away with the Sunday night covers session, National ain’t happening.

Well maybe Matt Berninger will do a solo set, he's supposed to have a solo album coming out produced by Booker T

Ehh I think Newport could get away with them in a pre-headlining spot with a collab after. Brandi was in that spot in 2018. And I'd argue Sturgill Simpson and Kacey Musgraves were both the "biggest" names on their days, play the biggest venues on their tours, but didn't headline
The 5 shows still makes me think it won't happen though
