I’d love this but I’m guessing we’ll get our 3 2020 headliners back and I could easily see an Adele your starting summer 2021 at the earliest just to be safe. If they want to do another event in October ‘21 like rumored before then I could see her being a good choice for that event. That or just do 2022 instead after a round of touring like what Beyoncé and JT were supposed to do.
Tons artists book arenas these days. Arenas are very flexible with capacity, like last year ScHoolboy did the Forum but the capacity was only around 8k or so. So the "arena act" thing is very misleading, a Palladium type venue could have a higher capacity than an arena depending on what capacity the artist actually uses for the arena. But Tyler was already #3 on his day for Flower Boy, Igor already had him sub caliber (sub caliber is also a weird thing because we can get subs as big as LDR and Calvin Harris or subs as weak as HAIM). Next album I doubt he'd agree to sub, it's either headliner or not playing at all

I know Haim was just there in 2018 as a sub, but I’d really love to hear this new album on the fields. I got into them at Coachella 2014 (they were my first act on my first day) so I’ll always be down for them on the lineup
Did they seriously refer to Adele as the “Rumor Has It singer”? I thought everyone was in agreement that Someone Like You is the best big Adele song
you dont read enough british tabloids lol. im surprised she is going to tour again though when she said she was done. Might just go to places she didnt and do some stadium shows. probably wouldve been in the running for 2021 in normal times, but yeah, theres likely a lot of flexibility for it anyway and its not like she was going to be touring around the festival.
I suppose I just dont know how anyone can underwrite anything of that size right now in that industry.
Loans exist too and both companies have the infrastructure to pull it off well enough.
Im not saying they dont have the $ to do so, im saying I dont think we have any proper projections to be able to have a good idea for what concerts will gross in 2021 or 2022
My fiancée gives me all the celebrity gossip. The whole thing has inspired some dialogue in a future short film and/or movie I'm writing.
I am not someone who likes to cry for the rich, but I do not envy someone who is put in the position to have to decide whether to try to make your partner sign a pre-nup or not.

I think the only festivals we see her do are Coachella and Glastonbury.
Would she still have a voice in the desert for W2? Look at what happened in 2017 with her Wembley stadium dates that were for the home video. Plus there might be LN/AEG stuff.
its pretty striking to see these companies that are hypothetically on life support making 9 figure bids for talent right now.
It's the corporate logic of "go with what works." LN and AEG are going to do everything possible to make up for their losses this year by convincing (paying out the backside) every guaranteed stadium-filler they can to hit the road in 2021 - Stones, U2, Beyonce, Eagles, etc. Then they'll package proven arena acts together and throw them in stadiums - think more "Hella Mega"-type tours - and so on and so on down the line to fill every size venue in their portfolios.

Wembley was at the end of all the touring she had done. She had to postpone a date in Phoenix on the u.s. leg because of her voice. You could easily assume they would want to ensure that kind of thing doesnt happen again and Coachella is just a standalone thing before any other things happen. Unless its a victory lap after a tour and she will have had plenty of time off before. And its hilarious to think she needs to tour now to get back some of the divorce settlement. If thats the case she signs a Vegas contract and says fuck all to touring.

Wembley was 3 MONTHS after the Australian tour leg. Same scenario as starting a tour with Coachella. She also had a ton of issues in 2011.
