Looks like Rina Sawayama is in. We have to be getting a date change announcement soon too. It's becoming pretty obvious they're no longer planning for April.
At this point they could do it friday since itll be exactly a year from when its supposed to take place. Something else that hasnt been thought of is Stagecoach usually announces around mid october. Seems that GV isn’t going to let one event throw up all the red flags with such a major date change.

I would assume a January drop. Otherwise iii points would have waited to release and wouldn’t have said January

They'll probably still wait for January to drop the lineup but announce the date change pretty soon here. People still need to adjust plans from what they've already announced and I'm sure hotels want to know sooner rather than later. Once things for April start looking more and more bleak, people will start pressuring Coachella for answers too if they wait until January to switch dates.
I did that weekend and the weekend before just to be safe.
Have you or anyone else stayed their before in a VIP or Executive suite?
Seems like the workers don't even know the difference between their VIP and Executive suites.
Looking for something that can sleep 5-6, but I think 1 king bed is the only option and a sofa
Did you look on like hotels.com for the room specs? Might show some difference. Hopefully a 2 bed option with a sofa bed comes up.
I mean I hope they delay this announcement a bit because some of the major chains do booking exactly to the date so you have to wait. I dont want any reason for them to raise prices, although their algorithms still have April 2021 as a high demand thing. Wonder if 2022 will still be the same.

I thought they were potentially done with shows actually. They were contractually obligated to do a dozen, or thirteen or whatever. The show they did in Philly last year was it
They were done with their contract but when theyre getting paid as much as they were its difficult to give that up. Look at Gun N Roses, theyre milking every dollar they can til theyre not able to sell out stadiums and arenas. Gonna be 5 years and counting for their “reunuion”

I don’t recall the exact terms of the contract and how many shows it was. I do remember the PA show and I think the MSG shows were both after they had fulfilled the allotted shows they agreed too(I think it was 10). But they are making a ton of money playing arenas, Danzig and Only seem to be getting along, and they sound great playing these sporadic shows that give them selves time to rest. Their last show was in December and shit hit the fan a few months after so I’m still holding out hope they announce a few more shows. An arena show in Detroit is probably more likely than a non headlining set at Coachella. With their songs being 2:30 on average they would absolutely obliterate a 50min-1hr long set. Let em close the main stage after a headliner or close the outdoor for fucks sake, I’m trying to hear the polo fields yell “I killed your baby today”.
haven't posted here in a while. yesterday i canceled my april flight and will just rebook for october if it happens. at least airlines are being flexible. i do both weekends of acl so if coachella clashes i will need to ask for a refund and go to my first chella in 2022 :/
The Save Our Stages bill has been included in the House's proposed COVID relief bill. Should Save Our Stages be implemented, hopefully struggling venues will stay afloat - which in turn should help preserve tour routings for many lower-line acts we would normally expect at Coachella. So that's something positive in my mind.
That being said, the RESTART Act may be the way to go. But I'll expand on that in the Save Our Stages/RESTART thread.
It’ll be interesting to see how the lineups shake out if Coachella and ACL share the same 2 weekends.
Curious to see how this plays out as well. The group I've gone to Coachella and ACL with the past few years have all decided they prefer ACL, but it'll be interesting to see what happens with the lineups if they're competing with each other.

Time to find a new group.
Don't get me wrong, I enjoy both. If Coachella puts out a lineup I like, I'll be there.
"Another source close to the situation adds that they would “not be surprised” if Coachella ended up pushing its 2020 festival all the way to 2022, due to potential scheduling conflicts for the hundreds of artists involved and the current lack of a vaccine for the virus."

Ugh, I hope not. It wouldn’t surprise me
I feel for all the small business owners and employees trying to survive in the greater Coachella area
It's hard to imagine they will be able to find any up and coming acts if they move it to 2022. Who will take up a music career with no shows possible throughout 2020/2021?

Every soundcloud rapper named Lil gets a slot. How else do you think Rolling Loud fills their line up?
There's certainly bigger problems going on, but I saw that Twitter has disabled SMS notification, which was how I always got the lineup drop without a lot of refreshing. Anyone know if there's a work around to get SMS or push notifications for a specific account?

Umm I still get their notifications and havent changed a thing. I have an iphone so unless youre on android thats a whole other thing. I saw their BLM posts come through yesterday with no problem.
