Anyone else having trouble booking hotels for October 2021? Tried Marriott, Hilton and holiday inn and they are unavailable
Said it on the last page that some of the big chains are blocking off October already. Theyll probably wait til theres an official announcement and then gouge everyone.
We are treading some thin lines here. I think the term (especially since it was coined online) is still broadening as new artists join the ranks. I know that there is a specific type of act that the term derived from (Five Finger Death Punch, Seether, Staind, etc), the problem is that "good" bands went on to jock the same bland sound. Power-Pop and Modern Rock were not all that different which is why they shared the same airspace anyways. I'm kidding with you all here to an extent, but I don't think it's so ridiculous to say that these acts diminished themselves when they went with a similar vibe.
edit: arguments aside, you guys should check out this playlist I made last year.
Just wanted to commend you on having Matthew Good Band on the playlist. I grew up in the NYC area but we for some reason had MuchMusic so I got exposed to a lot of the Canadian Alt-rock bands that never made a dent in America. Still think Beautiful Midnight is a phenomenal record.

Same here. We had Canadian Much Music in Texas as well and it definitely played a major influence on me. MGB was my group of friends' favorite band in high school. I think it felt 'different', but it was also just pretty damn good. It HAS aged well imo. I got to see him back in 2010 and he played all of the hits.

One of my biggest frustrations was MGB released Beautiful Midnight in the Us in early 2001 (chopped up a bit with a few of the songs from Underdogs replacing the ones on the Canadian release which I thought was a terrible idea) and they played Bowery Ballroom in NYC which I could NOT attend as it was 18+ at the time. Sigh.

AXS and the Goldenvoice site updated Stagecoach’s dates to TBD. Coachella is missing from both sites but I’m pretty sure they were listed before for April ‘21.
Kinda guarantees he will never headline Coachella. And at this point if he cant even get a headline spot for a Butt Rock fest, how does he think the others will cave into his apparent awesomeness? He might get the 8th slot at Lolla if theyre scraping the barrel, but thats it.

If you click on festivals on the GV site Coachella is still showing April.

Danny Elfman planned to debut his first new single in 36 years at Coachella. whenever Coachella comes back Danny Elfman will hopefully still be on the lineup.
I guess this is the "beyond" he was referring to when he posted that tweet about "Past, Present and Future! From Boingo to Batman and Beyond!"

For anyone looking for hotel for October seems like this Hilton has not blocked out the dates. Just snagged oct 7 -11 2021 for under $600. There was availability at Holiday Inn's but the rates were jacked up and Marriott has everything but the JW blocked out.

So when do we think we will get the official word on moving to October ? Perhaps January with a lineup drop?
Stagecoach would’ve dropped by now so I think we’ll get a date announcement before January. I’m guessing once they confirm headliners it’ll be announced for October.
