Also, with BTS finally receiving mainstream attention (two songs on the top five of the Billboard Hot 100), I could see Coachella booking them. A BTS/Billie/Frank Ocean or Travis Scott headline trio would do very well.
Thanks for riding off things Ive been saying for over a year. Coachella usually gets in before the explosion but seemingly couldnt this time. And even before their first insane stadium tour they were headline or nothing with Coachella. So booking Blackpink and then Bigbang was to soften the festival audience up to K Pop.
. If they had BTS and Billie Eilish on one poster, the resale market would be ridiculous and rival the Beyonce year. The major obstacle with BTS is control from their label. Theyre probably going to demand to monetize the webcast, no photos allowed from the crowd, and a way as to not have the audience die in a crush of bodies. Like an almost 3 hour silent slot and even more increased security because there will be an influx of people that would attempt to jump the fence. Or even allot some tickets to their fan club so they had a chance to get one cause I cannot imagine an onsale with the knowledge of BTS at Coachella without thousands of fb posts and tweets demanding to know why they couldnt get a ticket or why there werent single day tickets or extra ultra vip with soundcheck just for them.
So now ya’ll wanna say RATM, Billie Eilish and BTS for octoberchella, ok.

No photos from the crowd? 3 hour silent slot? Exclusive tickets for their fan club? No, none of that shit is happening. Also, as much as I'd actually like to see BTS headline, if BIGBANG is still on the bill for October then I don't see BTS headlining the same year. The k-pop industry is very competitive and I doubt YG Entertainment would allow BIGBANG's first show back be overshadowed by BTS' first major Western festival show.
Anyways, I'm sure the rise of artists like Bad Bunny and BTS has been helped due to the fact they're constantly releasing new material. It was so much less noticeable to me there because it was spread throughout the entire board, most of which I didn't frequent. Now that it's been concentrated to a single thread that I do frequent it is pretty unbearable.
This fest has had several acts that don't headline other festivals headline. For instance, Chemical Brothers/Lumineers in 2019 or Arctic Monkeys in 2014.

Well the Oxford Vaccine is close to being deemed safe ( in the u.s ) so I dont know why you think there should be reliance just on Pfizer. If they were the only game in town then of course there should be concern, but theyre not. I would say be more upset that the white house still cant accept anything but the vaccine they funded with Warp Speed cause itll line their pockets and Pfizer wont.
Re: Cardi. She probably gets scheduled for 90 mins, is 20 minutes late and then has a dj for another 20 before performing for 45 minutes at best. Every festival that books her is going to have to get Megan on top of that or else WAP is just going to go to waste. Lolla, Roo and ACL would bite on her since they have 6-8 headliners, its not Coachella where its 3 names alone at the top.

She also does I Like It, MotorSport and Girls Like You in her sets and I’m pretty sure Bad Bunny, J Balvin, Migos, Nicki Minaj and Maroon 5 didn’t all show up for her sets. It won’t be a “waste” if Megan isn’t there.
