He wasn't qualified when he was hired, and the coup he pulled off to get the job is indicative of the issues in the Athletic Department and at the university in general.

Very excellent points. Putting the department's struggles at the feet of every decision over the last decade or so being made bc of personal relationships rather than merit would be an easy case to make.
I'm glad it's Ohio St. Tex A&M wouldn't have been as much of challenge. Embarrassing Jimbo would be nice but other than that never had a problem with A&M.

Also, a solid illustration of how far off from normal my college football watching is year is that we drove by Mercedes Stadium in Atlanta last night at about 630, and it took seeing an Alabama bus parked next to it to make me realize what all the ruckus was being caused by.
Read a few conspiracy theories that fulmer did this to get him fire for cause to either take over as coach or install Tee as coach (since tee turned down south Alabama and the raise earlier this year, or... something).
Also seeing lots of people calling to hire Gus.
Maybe controversial take, but I'd prefer getting kiffin back over gus, tbh.
To add to the conspiracy, people are making the jump to understand that they could potentially fire Pruitt for cause if this turns up something substantial which would mean no buyout. I love this time of the season.

Tennessee out of the Liberty Bowl due to COVID issues. Probably for the best anyway.
Also, Fulmer referenced something to the effect of "Pruitt and his team" when speaking on spring practice which people are running with as confirmation that he's staying.
Even as a fan of one of those smaller teams, this is pretty good

God bless. That game was such a massacre. I was working at the rehab at the time. Most of the patients stopped watching by the half except for this one kid who was a Georgia fan and delighted in every second of it.
sang_xcx, is this a big deal or no? Not sure how much of the show he runs.
Tony is the main playcaller but Streeter was a playcaller before at like Richmond or something. Last time we played a bowl game with a new coordinator (and a backup qb) we dominated Oklahoma. So hopefully it won't be a big deal.

My friend has a podcast about him trying to get into sports and his co-host (the guy who teaches him about sports) bought a Cameo spot from CJ Spiller for him to get his reaction on the show. Either the guy didn't tell CJ much about my friend or CJ didn't really pay attention to what he wrote, because he encouraged my friend to take up football because it helps build character. My friend is an adult.
