Gotta make a couple more notes before getting knocked out especially since no Monie voter has explained their vote.
1. cdevaney mentioned that he doesn't see the value of the Seal or Anaconda in this game. Lumping in the Anaconda with the Seal. I have to mention the obvious... that the seal actually couldn't provide ANY value. An anaconda can weigh up to 1,100 pounds. If an anaconda bites and wraps up a zombie for the bear to come finish every 10 minutes, its still providing much more value than a seal on land. As a last line of defense, the anaconda is guaranteed to at least handle any one zombie. I understand that the process could take a while, but it's still one more body guard in play.
2. Fun Fact: 1,100 pounds (anacondas weight) = 13.5 Baboons! While Baboons are dangerous to humans, they don't have a lot of weight to throw around. They are the weight of a human child with less height. The Giant Forrest Hog weighs up to 606 pounds, for contrast. The hog would have much easier time running through zombies.
3. A Kangaroo weighs up to 150 pounds. A croc weighs up to 2,000 pounds. While I love a Kangaroos kick, a Croc is in a different class.
So outside of the number one's, The Baboon and Roo total about 230 pounds. Whereas the Croc, Hog and Anaconda combine for about 3,700 pounds.
4. No question, the elephant is the king of weight. We all know it's a tank. It's the primary defender here. I guess I can see someone favoring it to a Grizzly bear though I think you'd regret that if you were thrusted into this situation. But once a few zombies slip by that elephant, you are looking at 230 pounds of defense guarding you. I think I weigh more than 230 pounds right now. That may be the weight of one zombie.
I guess the elephant could be overpowered in this game, but I'm just not seeing it outside of elephant.
Not sure if it makes a difference to anyone and she hasn’t corrected it but Monie drafted a sea lion not a seal. FWIW I think a sea lion would be more effective on land than a seal.

But here's the thing about snakes: they have notoriously poor eyesight. Anacondas primarily use infrared means to see their prey and zombies don't have any body heat.
In addition, they are primarily aquatic and usually kill their prey by drowning. Again, not effective for zombies.
Not saying that they couldn't restrain zombies for other team members to finish them off but it's not really something that they are terribly well suited for. (And still streets ahead of plenty of other drafted animals.)
Anyways, not really setting out to shit on people's picks. Was just explaining why I didn't select them or picked someone with a different animal instead.
(FWIW, I did have anaconda on my list and would've gone there if I had to.)
sea lions can walk on all fours on land would be the biggest thing but yeah I’m not sure that’s enough to sway it for any voters.
Can you find any accounts of sea lions killing humans? I can't even find an attack that did not occur within feet of the water.
I doubt it but they do have sharp teeth and some height if they know they’re fighting for you. Like I said I don’t think they’re great or anything just better than seals
Well they would produce heat by moving. Not a lot but some.
We're talking shambling zombies, not fast zombies, right? (Because fast zombies aren't a thing.)
yeah slow zombies. Even then they produce some heat from the friction of their bones, muscles, etc. Not as much as a human would but still a little. Idk if it's enough for a snake to really pick up but who knows

Well, if they were looking for them since they know the deal then maybe?

Yeah I guess that could work. Still not an amazing pick as you would think it would be without really looking into it though.

lol then an anaconda can lay out like a 33 ft long trap or trip wire. One a zombie makes contact its wrapping time

Monie won 7-5 (needed that one switch! lol)
The rest were not close. This next round will determine the winners of each individual draft, but we will have the winners square off to determine the one true survivor after.
Rhino/Tiger is really good here. I think Monie has a move even team here because I'm not sure exactly what an Ostrich does here. But it's not enough to out last a team led by a Rhino and Tiger
The thing I like about my team is that all but one has two points of attack. A bear has it's paws and mouth, Crocodile has tail and mouth, Mandrill has it's hands and mouth. Crocodile is huge, strong, fast and one of the most dangerous animals on the planet. Not really getting the knocks against it given it takes down animals like wildebeests regularly.
On the other hand a Tasmania Devil, while a cool name, is the size of a house cat and it probably less useful than a Racoon. I'm not really sure how it could kill a zombie or even take one down for others on the team to take care of. Looking at all four of the animals on each team is pretty key here.

Can you find any accounts of sea lions killing humans? I can't even find an attack that did not occur within feet of the water.
The below from google. It didn’t kill her, but she was “mauled.” And if it knows it’s protecting me, I’m sure it would do damage to some zombies to protect me.
“Sea lion attacks on humans are rare, but when humans come within approximately 2.5 meters (8 ft), it can be very unsafe. In a highly unusual attack in 2007 in Western Australia, a sea lion leapt from the water and seriously mauled a 13-year-old girl surfing behind a speedboat.“
Other notes on my lineup: my elephant (Lucy) is a tank. It’s skin is so tough it’d take a lot to do real damage. Plus, I can ride it, it can carry supplies, it can kill with its legs and trunk. It feels empathy. It’s just all round a great animal to have on my side.
The kangaroo (Arnold) I’ve said my piece on. But it’s like having another human who is all muscle on my team. It’s kick can crush bone and disembowel another kangaroo, imagine how swiftly it’d take out a zombie who is nothing but decaying flesh. And they’re fast, so they can take out a lot of zombies quickly.
The baboon (Barbara) is multifaceted. For starters, on its own it’s small, fast, fierce and versatile. It can climb trees and attack from above, or it can go head on and run at the zombies and jump up and attack them that way. Furthermore, they carry and use tools, so I could fashion it a weapon if I need to and Barbara could take out even more zombies. It’s my baboon, she can do it if it train it!
My battle is taking place near water, I already stated this (perhaps right here in Sydney). My sea lion (Bonnie) can go on land as well as fight in water. She can bring me fish so I can survive, she can maul zombies and she’s just cute and provides company and entertainment. She’s the heart of the group. She keeps our moral up and provides back up as needed. My other 3 are my fighters, but Bonnie is my anchor. Oh, and since size was brought up earlier, sea lions can be up to 8ft long and weigh up to 660 pounds. The largest sea lion clocked in at 10ft 2,200lbs. They’re also known to kill and eat some species of sharks. So yes, they’re cam def be vicious and would do damage protecting me.
Tranter - I think JTR’s team is good and he def survives for a long time. But I think Tranter’s team does more damage which makes him last just a little longer.

the Tasmanian devil has an incredibly strong bite and could chomp into the zombies heads
