The 7 Phases Towards Big Ears Schedule Acceptance & Festival Bliss
The artists are announced; you emotionally believe you will see ALL of them
Schedule is published, conflicts become evident: you scream, cry, eat ice cream, and eventually settle on a plan
The schedule is changed; repeat phase 2
You realize that your schedule has some unreasonable distance vs. time vs. capacity constraints (i.e. you're not going to be able to walk from St Johns to the Mill & Mine in 5 mins); after more tears, some artists are scratched off the list
You're going to need to eat. You scratch out a few more artists
Secret shows are announced; you adjust your plan
The event ends and you can't believe you saw as many brilliant shows as you did; plans are immediately made for next year Le Guess Who? in November.
It’s starting to look like Mill & Mine may be your entire Friday night commitment if you want to see anything beyond a single show there.

Yeah this looks great. I was mostly excited to see Frisell, Lage, and Riley together, but I'll wind up at this anyway. Still torn on Lattimore/Tyler (two of my favorites) and the Giovanni reading right before it.

Anecdotally, given what I’ve been hearing from my travel companions… the (assumingly) accidental deletion of the “My Schedule” in the iOS app is not going over as well as one might have assumed
