Very solid first day. Loved the outdoor opening event with the breath artist/beatboxer guy, and Patti > Bill Callahan > Low was a phenomenal run of shows. Had a great black bean burger at Stock & Barrel and did the Soundwalk before things started up too!
Looking forward the most to Arooj and Sons of Kemet today, but excited to see more of the venues too!

Also, does anyone have any info or a schedule on either the free trolleys or the festival-sanctioned shuttles? Wasnt a ton of helpful stuff in the programs they were giving out

Great first night. Nathan Fieldcяab I also did the Mill & Mine trio, and we caught Preservation Hall tearing it up at Jig & Reel after Callahan. Looking at 75 Dollar Bill, Arooj Aftab, Caroline Shaw, L'Rain, Patti, Kim Gordon, and Mdou Moctar today, and try to fit some other stuff in the gaps.
The girls at the Modelo tent know me by name. Apologies if I meet you for the first time.
UPDATE: Apparently, I lost my wallet and ID cards. I’m off to a smashing start. I told you guys not to leave me alone.
Lido was the highlight for me. No big band, just her and a drummer. Damon had me balling and wanting to start a revolution in the first 10 minutes of his set. Dos Santos was fantastic and ended up hanging with them through Damon’s set. Nicest fucking dudes ever.
Was at Low but enjoyed the set from a chair outside.

It still said 1:30 when I checked the app earlier today. We ended up heading to Attaca early since it looked like that show was looking late as fuck when we walked by.
