sang / deto - Rage, Bjork, RTJ, and Primus are great, but I still have my reservations about two metal HLs. I think Saturday outside Bjork and a couple acts is super weak for me and same w Sunday outside The Roots. The Questlove Claypool Superjam sounds Bonnaroo on paper but when I imagine the sound of it, it sounds bad. This might also be missing some higher billed folk or country which I think actually does really well for Roo. My scores don't change here Realism - 7/10 Quality - 7/10
King T / JamesTheRam - obviously picking mine, but good HLs, good genre diversity, some improving w Robyn, AnCo, New Order but a firm foot in the door of appealing to the base with Lana, Travis, Kygo, Oysterhead, Virtual Self and Paul. I changed Deftones billing and others. I'd also like to note that some people said Paul coming back isn't realistic but Roo did want him back in 2019. Realism - 8/10 Quality - 8/10
DRAGON ENERGY / whereispassionpit - Think this is my #1. Rihanna at Roo makes a lot of sense but she likely doesn't play festivals for a reason. Flume, Meg, Bad Bunny, etc all make a ton of sense here. All pop but no trash which is very good. Dead and Co is perfect as is Tyler Childers. MCR is a solid headliner but not my thing. I will say the biggest issue I have with this is that I think ELO wouldn't play unless they were a HL but I'm not too confident in that statement to let it make a huge difference rn. Once we get into the lower stuff, it falls off for me. There is a whole lot of nothing for me on Sunday other than Dead, FF and Whitney. Realism - 9/10 Quality - 7/10
fearandparanoia / emoney / problem dog - I'm knocking down my quality score a bit here because Sturgill > Stones excites me less now that I think about it. Saw both on their last tour and was a bit let down by both. I also don't care about any subs except Jamie xx and Sia. I get that there's good smaller acts there but having two subs I like is a pretty big hit with quality. Walking through the schedule, there's a lot of dead space here. Also why is IDLES on the Which? The Saturday night LN is really good but I don't know why Petras is conflicting w Jamie. Realism - 6/10 Quality - 6.5/10
Chandler Bing / Rummy - Gonna be more critical than last round. The Thursday scheduling is annoying bc you have like 30-45 minute breaks where nothing but The Other is going on and that's not needed. Friday is really nice, but I think putting !!! against Sufjan is a bit of a waste. Glad you guys fixed EW&F. Saturday is nice, but takes a minute to kick into gear except that you gave Radiohead less than 2 hours. Give them 2:15. Sunday I would just be seeing a handful of 2016 repeats. I feel like some of these pop acts aren't good selections. Camila Cabello just comes across as a "we need a pop act, take anyone" thing and I truly don't know a soul who says they are a fan. Plus, it's kind of funny you guys were the cancelled police yet take Camila Cabello. Realism - 8/10 Quality - 8/10
Delicious Meatball Sub / Larry Farnsworth - There's really nothing new I can say about this one. I don't like it that much, don't see why people love it, etc. I could maybe be convinced to bump the scores a bit but you're gonna need to overcome a pretty steep lead to comeback. It's just not my taste mostly. I do like that TOPS SMD Hot Chip run tho. Realism - 7/10 Quality - 5/10
Capn Jim “Mad Dog” Mattis / Cap’n Mac - Again, take PJ off and this is a much better lineup. I think you're missing big EDM too. Nothing on here is out of Roo's wheelhouse individually, but together they are. Quality - 9/10 Realism - 6/10
Jaz / Fred - Again, four HLs with Styles, but still just a nice lineup which not much more new to say. Realism - 7/10 Quality - 8/10
I added our Other acts to the 2019 graphic, I think when you look at the lineup as a whole it looks more realistic, hoping it helps us a bit in that regard
Genre Breakdown (obviously generalized, not 100% accurate)
EDM/Electropop: Madeon, Boys Noize, Brodinski Wook Bass: Tipper, Eprom, Ekali Techno: Cirez D, Amelie Lens, DJ Boring House: Mall Grab, Jacques Greene, Special Request, Palms Trax, Blond:ish, Galcher Lustwerk NuDisco: Yung Bae, Moon Boots Deep Reggaeton/IDM: DJ Python Trap: Rico Nasty, IDK, $uicideboy$ Cloud Rap: Yung Lean, Clams Casino, Ecco2k, Thaiboy Digital French Electro with Hip Hop influences: Brodinski

A Roo #1 v #1 An ACL #5 (Gorillaz) v An ACL #2 (Gambino) Tool is bigger than AF. But both are (tried to be arena acts).
Tyler/Flo v Styles/xx, out of your mind if you think mine are bigger.
Styles for sure is a bigger draw, has to cost more, Tyler's tours do v well, but Harry is on another level rn. Xx and Flo both subheadlined Roo there's not some chasm of Florence is too big to be a five but xx is total fine. Xx and Flo both headlined a day at ACL.
FKA isn't a properly sized #2 on her day for her draw, and seems just as unlikely as anything I have.
Kraftwerk has been a #3 on their at Coachella and Osheaga. I know people like to pick them as a quirky headliner when we do drafts but it's simply not realistic.
Thom Yorke is 100% in the field for Roo, having already played the festival multiple times with his band, and playing ACL this year. Idk why Jaz and Truevine both tagged that as a source for negative realism.
adding to this having acts like J&MC, Slowdive, their big edm being boring recent repeats (kaskade/ML), more recent big name repeats in general, should make this realism issue closer than we're getting credit for.

sang / deto - Realism 4 Quality 6 - Giving team Sangdeto the win with the tiebreaker being "Getting to see Rage Against the Machine" King T / JamesTheRam Realism 3 Quality 7
DRAGON ENERGY / whereispassionpit Realism 5 Quality 8 fearandparanoia / emoney / problem dog Realism 7 Quality 9 My favorite remaining lineup. despite giving team Where is Dragon a boost in quality after rewatching the Rihanna Made in America set. Shes so good.
Chandler Bing / Rummy Realism 8 Quality 7 Delicious Meatball Sub / Larry FarnsworthRealism 6 Quality 9 The tiebreaker here is Rosalia, I have never seen her and shes near the top of my bucket list right now.
Capn Jim “Mad Dog” Mattis / Cap’n Mac Realism 2 Quality 8 Jaz / Fred Realism 5 Quality 7 Too many realism question marks for The Captains, even though I would like to attend their fest more than the Fred/Jaz one (no shade, just not a Gaga or Styles guy)
Four very close matchups here, great work by all putting together some great festivals.

just overall i like my run better at my festival.
i felt like if I was hard on you guys for PJ, I had to knock down Jaz Fred a bit more so they went down half a point but it’s still a good lead

Idk if I bump it but Rihanna probably doesn’t have any interest in touring soon. That’s just speculation so don’t think it’s far to knock em but does anyone have quotes for this.

I know you voted for us but some of these critiques I don't really understand. - The thursday is scheduled based on how Thursdays usually get scheduled at Roo? - I've already mentioned this but Radiohead does not play longer than two hours, seen them at Lolla Berlin and Rock Werchter and they did not play longer than that + did that aswell at Best kept Secret of friends stories I've heard. - what pop selections aren't good? Imo Camila Cabello, Marina, Chloe x Halle and Banks etc are just fine pop acts - Camila Cabello is canceled.. on what? That's the first thing I'm hearing about this and no one brought it up when we selected her.

Brodinski and Boys Noize are great picks. The problem is Palms Trax, Special Request, DJ Python, Amelie Lens
why are they a problem? Nothing less realistic there than stuff on your lineup like: Todd Terje, Four Tet, JLin, Martyn, Park Hye Jin, JETS, i_o, Laugh traxx, Julie Holter, MBV etc
If we look at the linup we're going up against in this round: Kai Whiston, Romare, DJ Koze, Jonsi, The Rapture, Roosevelt, Jubilee, Nicole Moudabar, etc
Everyone has unrealistic stuff but if the main issue for our lineup is some small name DJs that are extremely cheap I think we're doing pretty well, yet for some reason I think y'all have convinced people that our lineup is not realistic in comparison to others.

Speaking of Radiohead, EOB made an IG post where he basically said they didn’t know they had an elongated set length at Bonnaroo until they showed up, which I found strange. I guess it’s possible their agent didn’t communicate it or whatever, because from my limited experience set length is spelled out in the contract
I say all that to say: it was Bonnaroo’s fault that Tame Impala didn’t play for 2hrs in 2016

there's some videos of her using the N word pretty liberally from way back, and last year Normani did an interview saying she felt like Camila made her feel uneasy as the only black girl in 5H. Camila has apologized multiple times, but people still give her shit for it.

Yeah, I don't know any detes. I just remember Cupcakke said she was and also said some shit about she had sex with Shawn Mendes to make Cabello mad and he has a small penis and also that he's gay so idk kinda all over the place.
she used the n-word regularly when she posted online at like 13 or 14.
so long as there’s resolution, that doesn’t bother me but didn’t someone for 5H say she said some offensive shit and never supported her when she faced racist comments?

Sticking to my scores from the last round. I wrote some pretty detailed thoughts on each lineup already, but if anyone needs more clarification let me know.
Score-wise I have a tie between the Captains and Jaz/Fred, but I'm giving the edge to The Captains because of quality of acts. I think Jaz/Fred booked too much stuff that's bad in an attempt to be realistic, which I'm not into, and again I have an issue with Childish Gambino headlining back-to-back years. I think The Captains' lineup looks totally unrealistic compared to Bonnaroo 2016-2020, but not so much compared to Bonnaroo 2006-2013, which I think is okay per the rules. Tough matchup though, both are really good.
