Florence is bigger than The xx. Florence had an arena tour, while The xx were playing ballrooms and amphitheaters
her last tour was mostly amphitheatres.
harry also is playing bigger venues than Tyler so whatever the gap between those two is is much greater than the gap between Florence and Tyler and Florence and the xx
She played American Airlines Arena in Miami and Amway Center in Orlando. Same arenas that Radiohead, Drake, Kendrick, and Ariana Grande play at.

and she played an amphitheatre here and dallas. And those two florida shows were the only ones afaict. MPP, Red rocks, etc.
Here's another good one...Vampire Weekend #5 overall Roo 2014. Vampire Weekend #7-9 Roo 2020. (its up for debate who's the 7 out of pre-Cancelled Nectar, Oysterhead, VW)
I have no doubt that there will be a massive industry push behind Rosalia's next album.
Even though I started this sorta, I will concede that potential and established pull aren't the same. DaBaby and Megan would've been higher on this year's lineup if they were.
I’m not sure how many of you all are on TikTok but Rosi is HUGE on it. Match that with the amount of not music nerd people I know who follow her on insta and she’s a headliner imo

idk Meg jumped up a lot from ACL (her home state), Meg 2021 is higher, but she got a pretty sizeable bump from 2019-2020.

I don't think any of the Capns' artists are deal breakers on their own, and it's probably not worthwhile to attack or defend them individually. The issue is how it looks when you put them all together on a poster. But I've also voted for them twice, so I guess it's not as much of an issue for me as it seems to be for most of you.
I know somebody suggested voting in stages with different criteria for each round, and I still think it was a bad idea to pivot to that after the draft had started. But if there's another realism draft, I think that's the way to go. First round is exclusively based on realism, and after that you just vote for your favorites. It would probably help make voting more accessible for non-participants, too.

I phrased this wrong. I meant if the Roo 2021 lineup came out now for example. They both jumped up a good amount since lineup drop.

I agree some of them (really just two acts, and one billing issue) are tough, but the point was to improve. And I feel like we did that. And yeah everyone left has already gone through a realism ringer (all being higher seeds, through a first round)
Idk why it needs to be nitpicked further, and certainly not when were up against Mad Decent Block Party 2016 + Roo 17-19 + Gaga and Styles + Slowdive, JMC, Nick Mason, roisin
Truevine said Rosalia is at worst subbing next Coachella 😎
Before they cancelled 2020, the plan was for her to headline 2021.
Hey, I don't doubt that with another big album/year, she'd be ready to headline whatever. But in the hypothetical universe we're playing in, built off of nothing more than established info, Rosalia was 23rd on the last USA fest she played in late 2019. I really hate this inside baseball bullshit.

Me: [dumb, doesn't book a music festival or have any contact with agents and booking] this artist would be like 5th on her day based upon where she played at all her most recent festival dates
You: [smart, knows exactly who will play and where they will be billed and what they cost for the next three years] actually that's wrong, you fucking imbecile. you moron.

To be fair she was booked for ACL in early 2019. There was a clear difference in popularity at the time of booking, time of announcement, and date of show. Same thing happened with Lizzo. These festivals do a good job booking talent early, and get great value, but it is often not reflected in billing / slot.

I went to her show at ACL, where there are a lot of young people and Spanish speakers, and it was very easy to get very close. On the other hand, I left Lizzo because it was a massive shitshow.

The idea that Rosalia being 3rd or 4th on her day at Bonnaroo with her current catalogue is unrealistic doesn’t make any sense to me unless the logic is “Roo wouldn’t book a Spanish only singer”

A good friend of mine from childhood is actually an agent at Paradigm and he told me that none of his clients will ever play Bonnaroo again so lots of you need to rethink your realism imo

This is a good argument. I think she’s a sub at Bonnaroo like Lana Del Rey.
