Get that gross ass oatmeal out of here! You know how much shit you have to put in oatmeal to make it taste good
I do. A teaspoon of brown sugar. That's it.
Meanwhile gritties are all 'you just need to add salt and pepper and hot sauce and eggs and meat and scoop out the grits and throw them in the garbage and it's perfect.'
Nah that shit is gross if that’s all you’re putting in it.

I mean fresh blueberries make it better but I can do just brown sugar and be fine if that's the only option.
Also, I'm currently at a diner eating a feta, cheddar, and onion omelet with home fries and rye toast and it's fucking good.
Omelets are definitely the best way to eat eggs. I'm so glad JustEgg (such a terrible misnomer though haha) exists because it legit pours into the pan like perfectly whisked eggs, and then I can make an omelet with all the fixins just like I used to back in my ActualEgg-eating days

Voting Oatmeal but my personal knock on grits for this survivor is that all of my best experiences with grits have occurred during dinner eating shrimp and grits.
Didn’t even notice that donuts were on this list. Donuts might actually take it all for me. When I used to work overnight shifts I’d always get supermarket donuts on Sunday mornings and it felt like I was tasting gold every time.
Some of my fondest memories as a child was my grandmother making us oatmeal. None of that boxed bullshit, real rolled oats, milk, fruit, brown sugar and love cooked on an open flame. But I get it, love is worse than nasty ass grits. Whatever.

I'm sorry your grandmother didn't know how to make breakfast right. I am sure she loved you in her horribly flawed way.
I was thinking more like her grandmother was fancy as fuck to do all that for breakfast.
This is the correct answer. Also, she would make you anything pretty much for breakfast if you requested it, but oatmeal was the standard go to, due to my grandfather.

In all seriousness tho I don't eat pork, except for an occasional al pastor taco... so there's that. But even when I used to, I just never liked bacon. Probably the one American who hates it and has nothing to do with religious reasons. Y'all better not call the FBI on me.

I too vastly prefer pigs alive and well rather than in my mouth for like 8 crunchy seconds that's over before you know it.

that becomes hard to judge though, then, because there are a couple of vegan breakfast meat brands I loooove (the spicy Beyond bfast sausages are SO GOOD) and others that are very meh.
