I think Pulp is done for good but I would move mountains to see them again. Caught both NYC shows and they were beautiful. I think Jarvis wants to focus on his own project.
Well yeah, the 2 other times they had the full multi-stage fest in '18 & '19, it was held the 2nd full weekend of October.
So now they're moving it 2 weeks earlier, and there's a good chance it was due to securing a band or two the REALLY wanted - as Supre has suggested.
And we know from 2018 on, Phil/Moon Block has expressed the desire to bring back Impala. In due time we'll see if they chose this weekend to accommodate others.
There is also no way in hell Tame plays LA proper again for this album cycle now with shows at The Hollywood Bowl and The Forum already. So DD is the victory lap date and thatll be it for the u.s.
Would also be wonderful if Josh Homme's crazy family drama comes to an end so he can turn his efforts back to music...Have longed for QOTSA to play Daze, or better yet, the glorious reunion of Kyuss (while we're still young!).

Bought an early bird ticket. I haven't been to DD yet, but have definitely wanted to get there since Levitation left the ranch for the various clubs format. Some bands I would like to see:
Jesus & Mary Chain doing Darklands plus other tunes - doing euro shows now and have some makeup ones in the spring. Primal Scream - Are doing a handful of Screamadelica shows in Europe right now Spiritualized - new album out in 2022 Johnny Marr - new record out in 2022 Asteroid $4 - new record coming out in 2022 Zombie Zombie - new record coming out in 2022 New Candys - NA dates in March but maybe come back in the fall Sun Atoms - released an album in 2021 and already working on new tunes The janitors Clinic - released new album in 2021 Helicon Danny Elfman - probably a stretch but his record Big Mess is fantastic and I would love to see what he could put together for a live show. Black Mountain/Pink Mountaintops Wooden Shjips - don't know f they are even working on tunes, but would love to see them live again

And as I've said before, I selfishly hope they don't book Tame Impala for this because I've seen them enough and their fans will change the overall vibe of the festival.

I second this full heatedly.
Sadly true. I was surprised this was the case at the Hollywood Bowl. One of the lamest concert crowds I’ve seen. But, if they book them only to play Lonerism, maybe newer fans won’t want to drive to DD from LA.

I also did Hollywood Bowl for Tame this year and had a pretty terrible time. I'd rather not relive any version of that, but Perris is a long drive so perhaps we have that in our favor.

How unfortunate that the Bowl show was weak. I've always loved Tame, but when they got bigger & bigger their fanbase sucked in a lot of insufferable f*cknuts.
I will say though that their Daze performance in '18 would've probably been awesome, with the crowd being decent enough, if it had played out normally with their full set and no storm f*cking things up. Add in the fact that there will be Prima & Picnic happening in the same timeframe, we may not have a ton of a$$holes coming to Daze next fall.
Had a good time at the Tame Impala show at the Bowl. Did see a bro announce he was dropping his bean and there were a few other clowns, but had no issues with anyone.
Seats aren't ideal for most shows either. Would rather see them again in a festival setting where everyone is standing.
The Bowl show was for casuals so I dont think DD will have anything close to that audience if they show up on the poster. Im sure all the bros will be asking where Perris is and then realize its on the way to Coachella, not at Coachella and say nope. I do think theyre gonna need a Tame Impala though for ticket sales, and with the core DD audience theyre still cool with them performing given the presious circumstances. Outside of that I figure a lot of people wouldnt want them there cause of how big and popular they got.

I was up in the pit night two and we had dudes rolling groping on girls, lame as security constantly walking all around us during the show every few minutes, no one else (other than a few rail riders up front) excited for them busting out Beverly Laurel…much different scene than seeing them several years prior in a small club.

This was probably already discussed but do we think Primavera rules out anyone playing? I need to see Darkside again after their late night Bonnaroo set that I missed most of.

Yeah, Primavera and This Aint No Picnic pretty much remove all those artists from the picture.
