Well I'm off to meet up with part of my crew, and then head over to Moreno Valley/the lake by 4-5. Best of luck to everyone arriving today, travel safely.
Hope to see some of y'all throughout the weekend. It's gonna be one for the books!
Drove in there were about 8 booths. Search was quick I don't think they wanted to fuck with my camping shit from the weekend. Then drove to another toll where they checked the the car sticker, then around the lake to the site where they checked again. Dunno how it will be later but it took me 15 minutes. I'm on coyote right across from the entrance, where they line up the RVs

Finally here! Check on was a breeze until we got into the camping area. Then they held us for an hour until they could find room. Ended up parked on the side of the road in quail.
Had to argue with security about being able to park in the dirt instead of the side of the road since we're sleeping in the camper van. He kept saying my camper van was an RV and that I needed an RV pass. He eventually let me hop the curb so it's a decent enough spot I guess.

They're idiots. They make literally everyone park on the dirt on coyote
How is the part where you stop and get wristbands and then continue in? I'm debating whether to drive in and get wristbands, then drive back to our hotel and take Uber to the fest vs just taking Uber in and having them go through the wristband stop.

it's super efficient just tell your driver to drive through.
Camping line is apparently pretty crazy right now.
Well shit, glad I didnt think about going up the road to see the drop off points and where day parking is. Although now its going to be a whole deal for Saturday and the Tame kids whenever they gotta get their wristbands and go to parking.
Double wristbands! Wooo. Easy pick up, everyone seemed excited that was hanging out.
What time do gates open officially tomorrow anyway.
My friends said the same thing their Uber driver finally got fed up and kicked them out
yeah I would kick y'all out too, unless you pre tipped. We lose money every minute we sit still. Cash/Venmo goes a looong way though
Don't get me wrong, I'd have noped the fuck out as soon as I saw a line. City fests tend to make deals with the ride shares for festivals, they should think about this here

Lolla is 100k a day and rightfully so to make a deal with rideshare. Coachella is similar. DD might have like maybe 1% of their whole attendance trying to get a car at the end of the night. Cant justify any incentives and such to do that. Its the equivalent of a sizeable concert.
The fuck if you have day parking you have ti stop at the box office for a sticker.
So they don’t give that sticker when you’re in your car?
I parked and went up to the box office and asked. They gave me the sticker and i went on my way. You can get it while youre in your car but i just didnt bother with waiting in the car line.
Sky being late was whack. Gates opening late for no reason was kinda lame and made the merch stand be a cluster early.
Other than phone reception and some first day hiccups from setting up bands its been cool. Sound could be a little better but thats nitpicking. Crowd in good spirits for sure. Just wonder how bad its gonna be leaving to go home if i stay for Mild High Club and not leave midway through King Gizz.

Just finished up my last show of a four night run of Kikagaku Moyo and those boys are gonna melt your faces off. Enjoy their last west coast show ever, give them a beautiful goodbye!
The gates opened late because one of the companies building the ada stages didn't show, and neither did one of the fence companies. Also, it looks like the atms didn't show up. I asked at the front and they said "this is a cashless fest there won't be any" lol
