I'm gonna back of the annoying Denver shit this round because I just wanted to be in the top 5, but I've never had anyone come to here from bigger cities and leave without them saying that they didn't know what was going on out here and they want to come back.
This is the first rd I’ve actually had to think about it because there’s not a city that I think should be out. I went with LA. I think if I had the chance to travel to any of these cities it would be the last pick.
I'm sure Mardi Gras in New Orleans is fun I'm just really not a big parades guy.
You don't have to do the big parades for Mardi Gras. There are other things including the St. Ann "parade;" which is basically homemade costumes from people that live in the bywater/marigyn/quarter that "parade" down the street to show off their costumes. I don't do the parades at all, if I can help it. I eat the King Cake, go to the balls, and do the St. Ann (local) parade in the quarter. If I do go to a parade, I usually go to someone's house that is near or on the parade route and they usually throw down with food, drinks and music, so you don't even have to actually watch the parade. You get the friends, the good times without the parades and beads hurling at your head.
This year for St. Ann's we went to our usual spot but we are on the outs with our friend due to Trump, and the neighbors told us they knew us and took us upstairs to their balcony. They had savory king cakes, food, music and a balcony. We ended up people watching from there for awhile.
Going Denver here because the New Orleans people are at least trying to earnestly sell some positives (albeit modest ones) about their own city and the Denver people are making outlandish and fanciful claims comparing their city to NY and LA. So weird.

I've had great times in all five of the cities left and can't actually think of a bad time in any of them. I'll agree with shuck that tavern style pizza is phenomenal (I didn't realize it was AKA bar pizza) but I also like deep dish pizza, chicago style hot dogs, and italian beef.
I might be at the point where I stop voting after Denver goes this round.

Confession: I don’t love Denver (the city), but I do very much enjoy the music of Denver (the John). His Christmas album with the Muppets remains a stone classic.
Went with New Orleans. Fun place for a few weeks but as maddog pointed out yesterday it has a lot of the same problems as other cities previously voted out and somehow dodged all the fuss.

I will confess I enjoy the Mountain Style pizza you can get in Denver. Still, the other cities are leagues better. NOLA is the closest thing you can get to as a European city without leaving USA.
