Is the Skrillex, Fred Again, Four Tet set the most overrated set in the history of Coachella? It was fine. But but why are people acting like it was some life changing event?

Halfway joking cause I had an amazing time. Hard to separate what's fun / good / meaningful. Obviously it wasn't mind blowing sonically or tight technical DJing, but in that setting to close out the festival with everybody turned towards the middle of the field dancing the way we were.. It was pretty special imo. Had the same set happened in the Sahara on Friday afternoon I dont think we would still be talking about it, but that isnt what happened

Also relative to expectations you can't ask for much more than that.
Having a great time dancing with everyone despite the headliner drama is a great note to end the weekend on.

Not overrated. But in hindsight its going to keep looking better and better because it shows you that people just wanted to have a good fucking time to end their weekend and the festival delivered that with Blink and PHM. If Frank had stayed on and just done an above average set it just wouldve been seen as a make up for the prior weekend and nothing else. You also still wouldve had a crap ton of people standing around and hoping it would be good. It was very much a different atmosphere on that Sunday because the tension was out of the air in comparison to W1. Blink had everyone singing and smiling during their set and then everyone just lost their shit for PHM. Thats a win.

Agreed, I do think Coachella will try and set the "happiest" or "funnest energy" headliner for Sunday going forward. Good feeling to cap off the weekend with. Like for example, as amazing as Adele is, that would be a somber way to end the weekend lol

If this was the cuss they play t h e song baby I guess maybe we should be happier. We should be happier idk it's kinda a lame song but yall might know what I'm talking about I think it's by like a Mumford and songs type band
Man I just looked at the Bjork set list and I must say that I’d be pretty disappointed in her song selection. All is full of love is one of my favorite songs of all time. Surprised that’s not in the rotation. And maybe it’s me, but it didn’t seem like the most festival friendly song selection overall. Would think army of me, human behavior, possibly maybe, and I miss you would translate to a beautiful Coachella set.

Go complain to Bjork why she didnt choose it for the Orkestral set.
Hunter was my favorite song she played, and also the hardest, so I feel like a Hans Zimmer strings sounding Army of Me would have worked pretty well.
The Bjork set as a whole was amazing, but I would agree that it wasn't really reaching out to a larger audience, just her doing her thing and you were either on board or not. Thankfully since there were no campers not he stage for Frank w2, it was a small, but totally enraptured audience watching it.
And that was even being too close to see the drone show, which looked pretty wild based on the video on the Coachella Youtube.
Don’t agree with most of that but although I love “Pluto”, “All Is Full of Love” definitely would’ve been a better set closer.
💯
Imagine peaking on a trip coming to wild revelations about consciousness to then hear Bjorks celestial voice with her incredulously wailing all is full of love. Would be beyond overwhelming but in a beautiful way. Missed opportunity!
I moved back and sat on the ground for a while to watch the drone show and listen and rest my legs and I'm glad I did. The drone show was really sick. Silly to not have it visible from the front of the crowd where literally everyone was though lol

Idk, I was peaking during Joga and it was pretty phenomenal.
