Bonnaroo 2016 sold 46k. I don't think this year's ticket sales will be worse than that. 2016 was the first year there was a severe dip in quality plus they raised ticket prices by making you pay for a car camping pass. It had a top 3 that made inforoo happy but wasn't going to move tickets. Plus not a lot of artists that were really buzzing in those top lines either. You can say this year has a similar problem but I don't think it's nearly as bad. Also look at this god awful poster. The cost of gas and the price of everything going up is probably hurting Bonnaroo's sales a lot too. Hard to gauge how much that's a factor. But I think 46,000 or more is what we'll be seeing this year.

Pj + what were at the time rare Dead & Co and LCD shows seems like a bigger draw than Tool and blank
Tool (also paired with Puscifer) I think brings in a decent chunk of people who otherwise wouldn't be going if you took them off the lineup. I don't think Pearl Jam had that same sort of effect. Stevie Nicks and J. Cole also have a wider audience appeal than Dead & Co and LCD.

I don’t think subs are really an issue either year. Stevie is one of the few legend acts that younger crowds give a shit about. The subs are the issues.

No one irl cares about LCD. I literally didn’t go in 2016 despite some of my friends going because some EDM DJ called LCD Soundsystem were headlining and I’d never heard of them in my life.
I still don’t understand how they headlined stuff in 2016. That agent had the Midas touch.

I'm kind of with Todd. I don't think it'll be as catastrophic as many may think, I'd guess around 50 to 55K.
What's frustrating is they could probably get a fair bit more than that in last minute ticket sales if their communications were more on-game. Throwback pictures and sponsor posts just don't really sell the event.

LCD Soundsystem were pretty big before their not-a-retirement, and there was a lot of excitement about the comeback. Plus, this was still in an era when indie acts not named Tame Impala or The Strokes were being regularly booked in headlining slots. A lot's changed in music and music festivals between 2016 and now.
Do you want to dance while also thinking about all the ways you've failed as a human?
UPCOMING SHOWS 11/21 - Caribou @ Avant Gardner 11/23 - LCD Soundsystem @ Knockdown Center 11/25 - TV on the Radio @ Webster Hall 12/5 - LCD Soundsystem @ Knockdown Center 12/7 - LCD Soundsystem @ Knockdown Center 12/14 - LCD Soundsystem @ Knockdown Center
I’d set it at 35k. 45 way to easy too hammer the under
depends if we're talking ticket sales or attendance. there's a gluttony of tickets on stubhub and the official ticket exchange. poor saps on the official exchange can't set the price lower than $299 either. gonna be a lot of people eating their ticket I bet.
Is the resale price floor going to change at any point? Really hoping to pay $225 or so but don’t want to have to trust a rando on Reddit or something

I've bought off randos from Reddit. Just make sure they have a post history, wait til they have the wristband in hand, do pay pal goods and services, and don't send the money til they give you a tracking number.
As for price floor, I'm looking for $200. Things are at 250 ish right now; once they start shipping people are gonna start getting desperate. People on Reddit are delusional with their asking prices but I put out a feeler at 250 and had multiple people offering to sell.

I got one for $220 off Reddit. Waiting for it to be delivered to the girl. She has been texting me the delivery updates from Front Gate. PP G&S will be used when she shows me the wristband and sends tracking.

Sound reasoning. But when I look at that 2016 poster now, all I see is some amazing acts buried near the bottom. Twin Peaks, Bully, Vulfpeck, Chicano Batman, and some other good ones way down there. Plus Lizzo and Post Malone.
Anyway, I don't think this year's lineup is terribly compelling, at least near the top, though I think I might be among the 53,273 to attend. Not sure if absence makes the heart grow fonder since there was no Roo the last two years, but I'm getting stoked.
