So who of y'all already has their tickets secured for this and is 100% on doing this again. Might make a list like (I think piggy pablo did?) for who's doing BCN and who (also) Madrid.
Disappointing for me if turns out to be true but I get why people would be happy.
Not a fan? Think there's gonna be well enough to see elsewhere tho.
Oh, absolutely. Like I said, I get it. People would be stoked and that’s good enough for me. It’s Primavera. There would be other options which I’d rather do than complain about someone I wasn’t on board with.
I’ve just had my fill of him. It’s not that I think he’s bad or anything. Just over exposed for me.

Biggest takeaway from yesterday’s news conference:
- poster by the end of the year - $65 million Euro budget for both editions with most of that going to Madrid for transport.
- 400 buses for transport - 30 minute ride - In talks to make the Metro 24 hours
- 200 acts (with 98% playing both cities) - Monday - Wednesday are the ciutat shows with a kick off at Metropolitan Cyvitas Stadium and will feature a “fan zone” with live music and food. The shuttles will leave from there, too.
Initial Map:
- 8 stages - No double Main
I got a few problems with stacking the majority of the stages in a corner (sound bleed + crowding) but again, this is what was presented. It could change.
Hate to be a wet blanket but the buses leaving from the Wanda Metropolitano is a real L imo, as that is very far outside the main areas of the city and means you really either have to stay in the outskirts of Madrid or down near the festival site

Lol not a wet blanket statement. It’s true. As long as the Metros are running, it’s not too too huge of a deal for me. I’m suspecting they will be (at least for that Thursday- Saturday). I was a bit surprised as I was positive it was gonna be at Retiro but I get it. For most people, it’ll be a 30 minute ride to the stadium. I’m looking at 45 with a transfer.
It’s definitely far from the cooler stuff, for sure. They did say they were looking at adding shuttle stops, too. It might be easier to take a shuttle to Arganda del Rey and hop the metro there. It was said in the past there was gonna be a shuttle to Arganda del Rey so I hope that goes through.

and not many hotels around either. i assume that most people will take the 7 from the salamanca district which means an hour of travel time. you can walk from placa catalunya to the bcn festival in that time.
In my opinion if they wanted to drive Madrid they needed the lineup to be significantly better than Barcelonas. If the lineup is the same, and someone has to choose one weekend or the other and not just do both, Barcelona is the easy choice
