They literally are playing a show in France before Wembley. This doesn't make them a lock, but it does put them in play.
There's a difference between a couple of days and one month tho. Interesting that after all they were available for other festivals to book I've heard today from someone. More festivals will follow. Mad Cool should be coming with news soon, Pinkpop is starting their pre sale next week and Rock Werchter is still missing their friday headliner.
judging by Nick's track record Blur will be announced for this tomorrow.
If my source didn't know it faster than today and thought the tour would be similar as the one in 2012 (?) then it do be like that lol. I hope they do Mad Cool instead.
Per this article the director of the festival is saying there will be a second French date. And that Blur was cheaper than Muse (2021) and Depeche Mode (2018).
"For the opening of the festival on Thursday, we were on another offer, but that didn't happen. We heard that Blur was reforming and we positioned ourselves. The date and the festival interested them." Seems again like a very last minute decision.
In the spirit of Rosalia, Marina Herlop and Maria José Llergo.. Can Primavera please please please get Feli Colina on the line up?? She played PS Buenos Aires so.. who knows.

Besides Bjork, she’s near the top of my hopeful crossovers along with Sevdaliza.

I’ve been leaning more towards not going to Prima due to money/life circumstances, but if this was the lineup nothing would stop me from making it back.
So should I be bracing myself for the inevitable Travis Scott HL slot?
I think he has to be likely considering he played the SA editions and is active next year with a couple festival dates in March and April. Plus Kendrick is finishing up a big tour and I don’t think he’s gonna come back to Europe next year.
Been seeing forest swords super active liking stuff on insta including rewire setting their lineup announcement for next week. Would love to see them, usually some crossover from rewire making fever ray more likely.

Sadly, I can’t argue with this logic. When I saw that Rolling Loud lineup I started coming to peace with the possibility.
Hopeful for someone else though.
E: I love the rest of it. I’d be stoked to see it twice.
Who cares if Travis Scott headlines. Same with Lizzo. The conflicts at this fest are brutal every year and I could do without two more.
Optics more than anything. Lets say He played this year and all the bottleneck/crushing that was possible at the main stages? I dont think that wouldve been the wisest move if something bad had happened and he is trying to rehab his image and such.
For any other fest, it wouldn’t matter but Primavera is the one fest that books headliners I really like. A spot for Travis or Lizzo would take away from the Blur’s, The Cure, Rosalia’s, Björk’s of the world. It wouldn’t be a deal breaker overall though.
