I’m curious to see how different the schedule might be with the loss of Bits. I’m sure it came as no real surprise but I feel like while there will be electronic music/dj’s throughout the main days, it’s gonna be backloaded towards the end of the night.
I realize the time I went was a decade ago but that’s how it was. The majority was towards the end of the night starting at like 2 or 3 am till sunrise.
The whole thing of their b2b's is that it 'is' a surprise on the day of the event type of thing. Crazy that they managed to sell out MSG like that, but on the other hand.. There's like how many million people living in NYC? Sure, people are fully on the Fred hype train but saying a possible b2b2b might have a bigger crowd than Kendrick is a bit of a headscratcher. I do think Fred is gonna pop up at the Skrillex show tho (and visa versa). Not sure what Four Tet is gonna end up doing? He's not billed with Squidsoup so I'm guessing he'll just dj at a stage similar to Dice.

Oh, I 100% don’t think it would be a bigger crowd just counter programming for crowd control type thing. There’s also the “how much of MSG will they use?” argument.
I just feel like they knew something beforehand with the way it looks on the poster. I definitely agree with the ciutat show though. It makes a ton of sense.
Looking at the videos from last night, they barely had any production. It was just them three on a stage dj'ing and the seated places were 360 filled. On the ground it was just them on a booth, but there was lots of room to move around (probably a consequence of them barely having a production vs bands, artists that have a big stage design w them).

would be pretty surprised if the Fred crowd doesn’t out draw the Kendrick crowd
My take is that at some point, all three will share the stage and probably during Skrillex's set.I am not fully convinced that they will B2B2B at the fest, since the show isn't being promoted that way.

I wonder if they'd make use of the fact that Estrella and P&B are next to each other and run both stages at once. Idk if that's feasible but it would be madness.

Pretty decent BC,NR documentary on their shows at Bush Hall back in December. If you haven’t heard what they sound like since Isaac left the band, this is a pretty good primer.

Brutal. attendance has got to be low with the amount of fests around europe that weekend. snowpoclypse research for the rest of my europe trip has discovered that festiwal nowa muzyka in poland advertises that they sell cigarettes at the fest. dont think ive seen that before

I really think this festival is just getting a foot in the door to see how it goes. I haven’t done much research but nothing is sold out just yet that weekend, though there are a ton of better lineups, imo. They haven’t sold out of VIP yet so I’m betting you’re right with it not selling well at all.
PS used to sell smokes in the festival but that changed a few years ago when the laws changed. It’s the same reasoning you don’t find cigarette machines in bars so much anymore. I purposely picked a hotel near a tobac and 24 hour supermacardo in a block from the room.

Razzamatazz 2 had a cig vending machine in it next to the smoking roof, which blew my mind when I saw that
