We got rid of most of the stuff I actively dislike. Now I’m pretty open, there’s quite a few things that I just don’t have much experience listening to. I could go ambient, techno or house.

I’m on house, but I could easily be swayed to any of the others you mentioned. Plus hyperpop.

I really like Charli xcx but I wouldn’t be mad at hyperpop going out now. I’m sure I’ll shift whenever a clear battle emerges. I started on ambient.
Funk - James Brown, George Clinton and Parliament/Funkadelic, Lettuce, Gap Band, The Meters, Bootsy’s Rubber Band, Commodores, Galactic, Sly and the Family Stone, Isley Brothers, Kool and the Gang, Rick James, Herbie Hancock mid 70’s, Curtis Mayfield, Rufus, some of Anderson.Paak. I understand why racist magas would want to kill that off early since many of them believe in white replacement theory and most of those acts are or have black members. It’s not the biggest genre and should go in the next several picks, but I want to hear someone popping some bass strings before I want to hear disco, country, reggae, butt rock, hyperpop or modern R&B. That may be due to having a maggot brain.
Why the Phil hate? He was a great drummer before writing solo songs about divorce.
I was joking, I like Phil. But I would say that Pop has a pretty broad spectrum from 80s to today and it's hard to encompass it all.
I don’t like pop and agree with that. To me he was Genesis’ drummer before unleashing his relationship woes on the world. He was an extremely fast drummer and one of the best to come out of progressive which itself is the best modern rock genre. He used to often substitute a beat with a drumroll, many times drumrolls in succession. Los Endos immediately comes to mind. I love and dislike Phil. And I can join Mad Dog with getting in a Trick of the Tail reference in early.
