Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
How many of us are coming in early? For those of us going in Thursday morning we should meet up at some landmark( a diner is good) and just go in together. This will help establish the group early on instead of playing alot of phone tag. I'll be in early..anyone else?
Sadly the earliest flight I could get gets in at 9:45 am... so if the shuttle is right on time and there is no traffic (HA!) I'm thinking the earliest I could get to roo is like 11:30 am? Wish I could be there earlier - save a spot for a shade tent and a 3 man tent!
I'm really digging the idea of putting lots of the shade tents together and surrounding that with the regular tents... it would be so sweet to have a gigantic shade structure

Hey Bob, welcome You should PM Leo with your e-mail address so he can add you to the e-mail list, and PM your cell phone number (if you'll have one with you) to Briand who's going to make a phone tree for when everyone arrives on Thursday. They're both have posts on this thread so you can just click on their names.

I was originally planning on going solo and walking in the gate which would land me in tent only SUPER early, but if my Wakarusa ride gets a roo' ticket i might wait in line and park with him which would mean i have no idea when i'd be around... I'll keep you guys posted...
thats a great idea LIGUY, we can meet anytime, we arrive wednesday morning, i plan to park handicap, but at least we will all be getting in around the same time and will have a better idea what everyone looks like

Maybe if we set up on the side farthest from centeroo... I hiked in a day late last year and it was pretty wide open still, didnt fill in till after dark thurs.... Its still a super short walk but you know that one corner by the entrance will fill in first, that and the roadside stretch across from the VIP fence...
I think Lucid means on the side of the "tent only" section that is furthest from centeroo... so the other side of that rectangle. In this case the side furthest from Centeroo would probably increase it from a 2 minute walk to a 4 minute walk
I am not sure what you consider early. I have given a couple of cell phone numbers to Briand.
We are leaving Cincinnati around 11:00pm on Wednesday night. This will be our first roo so I am not sure how long it will take. According to yahoo maps it is about 5 1/2 hours. With following speed limits, rest stops, etc I hope to be there between 5 and 6am Thurs.
I am not familiar with the area but if anyone has an easy to get to meeting spot that is fine with me. PM me if you are getting a meeting spot together and I can get you some contact info.
The tent camping group has really taken off, I didn't expect a quarter of the responses I've gotten already. As most of the discussion is taking place here on the board (this thread is up to 12 pgs already and is stickied) I'm questioning the value of the email list. Also, I'm falling behind in getting new people up to speed on the list and I don't see it letting up any time soon. So I think from here on out we might as well just keep everything on the Inforoo board. New people are still welcome, just introduce yourself here and make sure you PM briand your ph # and approx arrival time if you want to get on the phone tree (you'll get a call or a # to call to let you know exactly where the camp is). If anyone has any questions by all means still feel free to PM me or ask them here.

I was just wondering how well calling people on cell phones is going to work...I thought I had read on here that cell phone service Kinda sucked out on the farm...I think there needs to be some kind of arranged place to get directions from..or buy some huge helium balloons and when you get set up, blow them up and send them up high to where everyone can see them. I don't know, just something to think about. I would hate to see everyone get there and be waiting for phone calls and no one's phone works.

I dont think it will be too hard for us to get together so long as we decide on a specific area of tent only... We can wander around and find each other we gotta find out who's gunna be in early i guess and have someone mark the spot... Im thinking the side near the RV parking opposite of the centeroo side would stay clear the longest and we wouldnt have a prob setting up a large group all through thursday afternoon... You're gunna fly a flag right Leo??
Also it'd be great if someone with last year's map and a scanner wouldn't mind scanning the tent only section and posting it (or email it to me and I'll post it) so that we're all on the same page when we talk about where to set up.

Looks like you will be the earliest if you do end up walking in. I was planning on wandering around shouting "Lucid, where are you" ;D
I like Leo's idea of getting the tent only area posted, especially for people like me who have never been to roo.

Im seriously considering having a shirt made up with my screen name on it and that pic of keller too, i'll know within the next week if im gunna do it, what was that custom print shirt site again?? Someone posted it, they'll make single shirts with whatever you want on it for a decent price... I gotta find that i might just do it... I really do think the biggest key is to have a somewhat specific area IN TENT ONLY where we plan to at least meet if not set up shop... I mean once i get in im just gunna unpack and set up my stuff somewhere so i dont have to carry it then wander around looking for you guys...
Although i could be so WIPED from Wakarusa that i might be the dude sleeping in the middle of the mostly empty tent only feild on thursday morning with his pack still on his back baking in the sun... If you see me throw a shade tent up over me and dump some ice water over my head so i wake up and dont boil to death
I think you're thinking of [ftp]www.cafepress.com[/ftp] Instead of paying for it you could always take a magic marker and write your screen name on a white T.

I guess you could just buy a white t shirt and use your computer printer to make a transfer and iron it on. Just make sure to do whatever you want in a mirror image so it comes out right when ironed. It is really easy and you don't have to wait for it... Take the pic of Keller and add your screen name and flip it . ta da...instant shirt

;D Hello. This is my first time posting, and going to be my first 'Roo, so I thank all of you who have helped me start to prepare. Only 35 days left till I leave from Baltimore MD to TN! I am def interested in joining the tent-only group, and I would love to buy a inforoo shirt, once the design is decided upon. My email is carleyanne@hotmail.com. I will one of a group of 5, and will be bringing a large canopy and lots of beer! We range in ages of 24 to 28 (me).
If anyone is traveling from the MD/DC/VA area, shoot me an email and we can plan to meet up on the road.
looks like i'm flying solo to the roo. this is my first one and i don't know anyone else who's going, so i'd love to join this group if it's not too late.
