The weather situation in Boston raises an interesting question for those who sold/bought tickets via resale. Usually, resale transactions are voided if a show is cancelled and the secondary market buyer receives their money back, and the refund for the original purchase goes to the original buyer. This prevents secondary market sellers who mark up the price from keeping the mark-up profits.
But how do you handle a situation like this where the entire event hasn't been cancelled, although a big chunk of it has? At festivals, lineups may be subject to change, but the event still takes place. If an entire day gets cancelled, how do you handle all of the categories of ticket buyer - bought tickets and used them, bought tickets and sold on the secondary market, and bought tickets on the secondary market? I'm sure that one day tickets for the cancelled day would be handled like any individual show cancellation, but it'll be interesting to see what happens if an entire day is cancelled.

Some years ago, there was a problem in the Boston area with drinking water flow from western suburbs to Boston being interrupted. The local news media labelled it "Aquapocalypse," which in those pre-Boston Calling days struck me as being the perfect name for Boston's first big local music festival...which would be held, of course, at Suffolk Downs, site of the late 90's Guinness Fleadh that I attended.
It appears that the long awaited Aquapocalypse has finally come to Suffolk Downs, but not at all in the way that I imagined it.
Will be ubering there from our hotel Saturday in Columbus, my 11th or 12th time seeing LCD, and my roommates first time. I am sooooooo pumped to get to experience that with them.
Had that same experience last night - my 14th LCD Soundsystem show, the first for my friend who only discovered and became obsessed with the band once Spotify’s algorithm fed him “new body rhumba.” We were fortunate to be able to work toward a really good spot by the end of the show - seeing him experience the drop in “Dance Yrself Clean” for the first time was pretty cool.
Also the best part for me was being with my friend who was introduced to them by, of all songs, "Oh Baby" being played in Booksmart. She saw they were only playing it at roughly half the shows so figured she wasn't getting it, and lost her mind at the first few notes more than anyone else in the crowd. She loved the rest of the set too, having gotten into their back catalog since discovering them and wants to see them again. Told her welcome to the club!
And yikes, I know several of these are being impacted by weather but it seems LCD's days are having especially bad luck! I saw their post about Dallas and giving ticket holders first chance to attend a makeup show, so if there are multiple of these, maybe they do a fall run.
I had a ticket and sold it on Stubhub the other day. I'm guessing I'm getting my money back from Axs and the Stubhub transaction is voided. How does this work?
Of course, the messaging completely avoids answering the question of what happens with primary or secondary market three-day ticket holders. They probably don't even know yet, but some acknowledgment that more info on 3-day tickets is TBA would be nice.

A one day ticket? If so, I'm guessing that the secondary market transaction is refunded to the secondary market buyer and the original purchase price is refunded to you by AXS. I have *no* idea what happens with three day secondary market ticket sales.

i'm in the same boat.. it's still showing up in my axs past orders, so hopefully it won't be a complete pain in the ass.
i just got an email from spotify/axs.. "All tickets will be refunded to the method of payment used at the time of purchase. The refund should appear on your payment account within the next 3-5 business days."
EDIT: got an email saying my refund is being processed already!

Nope, as a primary market seller of a 3-day pass on the secondary market (AXS.com), I didn't receive any sort of notice. Probably because that might take a while to sort out.
I got an email from Axs about getting a refund. I just hope the person who bought off Stubhub gets theirs.
When I bought tickets for the Avalanches from StubHub, which was cancelled, I got StubHub credit for what I paid. I assume StubHub will just charge me back what I was paid for my ticket resale and I'll get a refund from AXS for what I originally paid either as a bank deposit or AXS credit
damn..idles just announced a 11:30pm show at the sinclair
Anybody make it into the venue? We were still in line at midnight and bailed
Yeah, I got a ticket around 9:15 and just decided to wait on line there. I was able to get in smoothly, but it turned into a pretty big cluster*** behind. Idles didn’t go on until 12:30. They played for an hour and were massive. The room was packed.

Pretty much perfect weather at Merriweather this weekend. I couldn’t ask for anything better. All the musicians were great. Boygenius and Jamie were the top sets of the weekend. Clairo, LCD, & Toro were dope. I hope they’ll bring this back in the future.
11/19: Caribou 11/22: Ranger Trucco 11/29: Armand Van Helden* 1/16: L'Impératrice 1/30: Jamie xx 2/1: DJ Seinfeld 2/7: Mild Minds* 3/1: Father John Misty* 3/19: Confidence Man 3/23: DARKSIDE 5/8: Rüfüs Du Sol
The forecast for Columbus on Saturday is looking ugly 😢😢
Fuuuckkk. We could've absolutely made DC happen and went for Columbus instead. I just really hope I'm not regretting that decision come this weekend. Hoping it improves over the next few days!

Last night was so fun!
Idles ruled and I’m excited to see a full set of theirs Wednesday. They just keep sounding louder and tighter every time I see them.
Jamie XX was a fun dance party. Gosh in particular hit hard.
LCD’s setlist was almost exactly how I’d have drawn it up (maybe just add in Daft Punk is Playing at My House, they had time for one more, but that would be easy enough to hear at a future festival). They seemed to lean into the first album a bit with energetic performances of Tribulations, Movement, & Losing My Edge (!!) which gave it an even more dancey vibe. Definitely a top 10 show of all time for me.
The only minor complaints were L’Rain’s vocal mixing was horrible and The Juan Maclean’s dj set was like 30 minutes tops and they didn’t play any songs of theirs I recognize.
