So today i received a pair of crocs via ebay. They are light blue, slightly worn (nothing nasty, just some dirt on the bottoms and scuffs on the croc hinge for the strap), but cost me less than $20. I wasn't sure I'd like them so I didn't want to spring for a brand new pair.
So, as far as cleaning some of the pre-worn funk on these...can I just throw them in my clothes washer? Seems like they would be okay.

The Primas are a tight fit. I didn't find them all that comfortable when I tried them on.
I just bought a pair of black Mary Janes specifically for Bonnaroo this past weekend. I'm kind of embarrassed to own them, but I figure I'll sacrifice fashion for my feet. I'll probably be a convert by the end of 'Roo.
KEENS RULE. so durable, comfortable, and actually look great....
I got a pair of Taos IIs and after amonth of wearing them, I've come to the conclusion that Keen shoes suck. They have absolutely no arch support. I guess they look nice though. Little consolation when my feet are screaming at me.

I have a pair of Waldies, which i guess is a knock off brand. I thought I was buying crocs, cause they looked the same.
...and honestly I never would've noticed if I didn't happen to see "Waldies" on the side while I was cleaning them off yesterday. Just as comfy and just as durable as any other pair of legit crocs I've tried.
The fake Crocs are not made of the same material, the ones that I have felt are not as spongy as the real thing, and most likely are not made with the anti-bacterial stuff.
i've always wanted a pair of the old school vans...
I got the mary jane crocs too. Very cute and comfortable, I've worn them quite a bit already. I got them in chocolate brown.
Just got to get my guy a pair of sandals this weekend and we'll be all set. He's hard to buy for because he has flat feet, so crocs aren't quite right on him and birks definitely aren't. Maybe Keens would be ok?

Thousands of nurses cannot be wrong! I'm a nurse and absolutely live in my crocs..I have 4 pairs. I've been wondering though..are you guys rocking the crocs without socks on? I can't imagine the rubber on my bare feet in the hot sun. Any thoughts??

I have not worn socks with mine, and probably won't (I hate socks!), and I have no issues with them. They keep my feet pretty cool even when its 90 degrees.

those were my thoughts EXACTLY! I know some vet roo'ers have told me they got some nasty foot fungus stuff from having bacteria infested mud all over their feet, but I figure crocs cover the majority of your foot! I'm going tomorrow to get $5 knock off crocs at walgreens, bc i think they'll hold up okay at roo.. or so i hope

LOL I went to a camping store and looked around for crocs and i did see the chocolate mary janes, but they just didn't feel right. So another place that crocs.com basically said i could go was dillards... and i found a pair of awesome tye dyed ones!
i'm so cheap - the only time i'll spend more than 20 bucks on shoes is if they're for meetings and i need to look professional or doc martins. i honestly think the last time i spent more than 30 bucks on shoes was for sneakers - i spent 40 bucks on those. i'll spend hundreds on ridiculous clothes and purses but shoes? feh.
anyway i'll post a photo when i have more time. they're adorable. so if you see someone w/chocolate brown mary jane crocs that that are so ugly that they're adorable, come say hi!
p.s you guys were right. they are fn comfortable!!!!

click on it! the hideousness! I LOVE THEM. thank you all for your footware advice. i bought a pair of 6 buck cheapo rip offs from target in a large kids size. so i'll be sporting a pair of kelly green ones too.
i'm so wearing these to work. i've been breakin' em in all weekend - you guys are right, they're comfortable! the only thing that i have to say to protest is the sides where the croc buttons are keep rubbing up against the sides of my feet, but wth? they don't stink (and in the summer, my feet DO stink to high heaven) and they're comfortable. more comfortable than my huge gangly sketcher flip flops or my vans or even my chucks.
do you guys have any suggestions for flat feet? i wore them all day and was minorly bothered, not enough to care.

I just got an early birthday present in the mail from my Mom today, new Crocs just in time for roo, my Mom finally gets that i pretty much revolve my whole summer around Bonnaroo. I got the new line called "Motion" they have less holes, and the toe looks a little like chuck taylors, they are black. I am soooo stoked, I was worried that my current pair, survivors from last year, and also my work shoe, may wear through the soles, but those worries are over, woo hoo!
I also caved and bought Crocs. First I ordered a pair in red, but they were just too clown-shoe for me. Then I saw gold ones at Comfort One and I'm a fan. They're basically the same color as my skin with just a hint of sparkle. And because of the light color, I don't feel so much like I'm wearing marshmallows on my feet.
