Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I'm gonna carry hotdogs in my pockets, socks, underwear so I can blame any undue attention on that.
Bring lots of bacon with you.. as a matter of fact, set up a grill in the back of your truck and have a buddy standing back there cooking bacon as the guys with the dogs approach!
that'll show em.

if you get "picked" then chances are the puppies may find something... those puppes are WELL trained. Be careful.. I've heard that many "work-arounds" do NOT work.
They're only a major concern if they search YOU! In 4 roos, I've never been searched (knock on wood) but every year a small percentage are. And dogs aren't involved in every search. BUT if you have the bad luck to be one of those who are...
Also sometimes they will confiscate the "unmentionables" and let you go. Sometimes not.
If you're holding chances are you'll be okay. But you are definitely running a risk.
They may confiscate, thats probably what would happen. But you are taking a risk.. you may get into more serious trouble. I'm not trying to hype anything up here but.. its a risk. If you are willing to take it, go ahead.. I'm personally not willing to take the risk. It would mean most certainly losing my job if things went beyond confiscation as well as other troubles.

I didn't know If I should start a new thread for this but eh..... I drive a black Ford Ranger, nothing extravagent (rims, chrome, tinted windows) dress pretty straight laced, rock a nazi crew cut, but my truck came with a ridiculously loud set of Flowmaster straight pipes. I can't come home too late or I'll wake up the neighborhood. Has anyone been hassled for vehicle noise?? Oh yeah and my turn signals are busted, should probably take care of that huh?

Well, that DEFINITELY won't be happening. I'm gonna be on HIGH ALERT and totally SOBER when we head in. My car is modest with no stickers and hopefully we won't bring attention to ourselves...
Let's keep our fingers crossed....
I'm not saying I'll have anything on me, though. Just thought I'd find out in advance what to expect.
Get those turn signals fixed before the drive down for sure!
cracked windshield.. partially obstructed license.. any small offense and they can pull you over(usually with the intent of just giving you a repair order)
If you are loud enough to draw attention, it's not a good thing. The sound ordinance gives any cop in a bad mood a reason to stop you. Let's not get too paranoid, it may not make a difference and if you can do nothing about it, so be it. Just fix the turn signals and don't give them any more reasons.
last year, it was quite a pain to acquire some good... this year might be different? I dunno. it would just be SO EASY to bring my own. but some annoying beagle could really ruin my good time.
grr.
(is this thread where the mad smiters attacked me?)
The shot thing was a joke that missed. Here's some karma, The smiter's are out in force. Oh yeah, the puppies are well trained and those work arounds don't work. You could pack something in the middle of a pot roast and they can find it. Remember they have a smell 100X more sensitive than a humans. See you in VIP
yeah just wanted to mention that they call "moving over when your see a cop on the road" "yielding" and I think it's only when they have someone pulled over. But here in Texas you have to yield by doing one of two things:
1) change lanes (blinkers!) leaving one lane in between you and the cop and pulled over vehicle. speed limit!
2) if changing lanes is not an option then SLOW DOWN very obviously. Here in Texas I believe they want you to slow to at least 20 below the speed limit. But make sure you obviously slow down and pay attention. THEY LOOK FOR PEOPLE NOT PAYING ATTENTION.
I had a friend busted for not "yielding". They do leave the pulled over vehicle to pull you over! DO NOT THINK THAT JUST BECAUSE THEY ALREADY PULLED SOMEONE OVER THAT THEY WILL NOT PULL YOU OVER.

The only thing they will do is peek in your console and your glove and maybe the cooler. Just wrap the stuff you want inside multiple layers and you should be fine. Also be smart dont have anything just out in plain sight in the glove or the console.
Well taking into account that the dogs will be sniffing intently, what if you were to bury your stuff in the bottom of your cooler filled with DRY ICE ? What effect would this have on the dogs ? I'm not trying to be cruel or evil, just wondering what effect all that CO2 would have on the canines. I'm sure TN's finest would not look kindly on a dog that suddenly goes limp, heck they's prolly arrest you right then and there, but anyways I'm wondering does anyone have any stories , experiences with the dogs and CO2. Please don't smite meh.

random question, but ppl in this thread no alot about legal trouble
So my friend gets pulled over yesterday, and the cops smell an unmentionable scent in his car. they search the car and find 13 "1 Gram" bags, a scale, and three pipes. They are claiming he was on school grounds as well. although the only reason he was on the side of the road in the first place was because his car broke down.
he cant afford a lawyer and is going to use a public defender.
