Someone mentioned a 10X20 canopy is not really big enough for a tent and chairs, etc. to all fit under....I might buy a new one for Roo....what size do you suggest?

I found this "bed in a box" like deal for campers. Looks like a good deal for $99. Tent, sleeping bags, chairs, cooler, tent light, even koozies for your beverages. Plus a rolling bag/cart to get the whole thing to the inforoo tent campsite.

We have an Ozark Trail tent and so far so good...but as far as the walmart deal....you could probably pay less and get better chairs with armrest and a tent for the same price....just a thought...but like Oleander said...each persons opinion is different about the brands....
Yeah, at first it looked like a good solution to the tent/sleeping bags thing with a couple of chairs a small cooler, flashlight....... but the more I thought about it....
The tent wasn't tall enough to stand up in, the chairs were small and armless and the sleeping bags not too roomy.
Now it is back to more creative avenues... my sister has a few chairs and a queen size air mattress, I have half ownership in an Ezy Up tent that I use when I sell jewelry at outdoor art festivals.
Now I am wondering if it would be too outrageous to think I could make up that Q matress with sheets and a down comforter. Ah...the comforts of home in the great outdoors at Bonnaroo!

Oh thank you, thank you, thank you!!! ... this is my first year at roo and I need to get some more supplies before coming. I have some camping stuff, but probably need to get a sturdier tent, etc. And a good bargain is what I'm after! ;D

Check out this amazon deal for a fan. It's advertised as the most powerful battery-powered fan on the market (here and elsewhere). Everywhere else it's advertised for $60. $18 seems like an absolute steal.
This is the exact fan I got at walmart for fifteen bucks. Its great and I only needed one set of 8 D batteries the whole time at Roo last year (and it was on 5-6 hrs a night). Buy it at walmart but if you cant fidn it there, get it off of amazon. I woulda payed upto 30 dollars for this fan cause it worked realyl well.
Yeah, so I'm going to give my testimonial about these fans, it was the first tent fan I purchased and from what I've seen its the best. Like it said above, I ran the fan on "high" each night and only needed 1 set of batteries...the fan still runs fine. I just ordered two more for friends. So far I found them to be the cheapest at the link below, correct me if I'm wrong tho.

Don't you have to pay for shipping? I say buy them from Walmart (I know, I know) and save yourself $9 shipping! I bought the exact same fan for about $15...and no shipping.

OR...can you get them at any Ace Hardware store?
Ahhhh it would be lovely to get them at Walmart if they still had them. I bought mine last year for $10 on clearance, I searched Walmart and Walmart online. Some other places that you maybe be able to pickup the fan would be "Walgreens" . It seems that this price is only availbable online, no worries I did my diggin before I posted.

I got that fan a few weeks ago at my local Crapmart in the camping section. Maybe your local Crapmart was out...or maybe it's only in the camping section instead of where all of the fans are. And, you're right about it not being online...I couldn't find it online before I got it at the store, either.
Well...the next 2 links aren't about a "deal" but rather a list of natural mosquito repellents (found it while searching for types of mosquito repellants): chemistry.about.com/cs/howthingswork/a/aa050503a.htm

Don't know if anybody is still looking for tents, etc - we were until this past weekend. There is a spanking new Bass Pro Shop about 10-15 minutes from home. We went for the first time and found a fantastic tent (rated for 5 campers I believe) for all of $69!!! I've been looking hard on-line and was about to drop double that for nearly the same quality tent. They also had a real beauty of a tent that included it's own shade tent for around $200.
My local super w-mart had the o2cool fan when I was there last week. Maybe it will be there when I get back. There was also a fan with a light built in, but I didn't see them on the wmart on line camping section.
I wonder how this tent would be as far as water protection goes, they are not too forthcoming with specs such as height etc.

Good price and set up couldn't be easier for the tent-set-up challenged.
Odd... Out of 3 stores in Atlanta...nothing! Maybe all the Atlanta roo goers have been shopping. And for the tent fan with the light, I heard it got bad reviews but haven't had a chance to test it out. I'm far too happy with o2-cool.

That's what I thought, too. A ton of bonnarooers out there shopping for the same thing and it runs out...it's bound to happen eventually! ;D

LOL at that tent......... ;D.....and the lady throwing it up in the air......................and imagining someone doing that at 'roo!!!
I'm no tent expert.....I'd be leery of rain....but it could probably be covered/under a canopy and might work ok.....as long as it didn't pour too hard. Who knows..... But thanks for the laugh, Laura

Thanks everyone, I am definitely making a list of stuff that I need to get for this bonnaroo. This is my first one, and I am very excited about it because I will be around a bunch of roo veterans so I should not be too lost. I am looking at this tent right here www.amazon.com/Wenzel-Piney-Room-8-Foot-Family/dp/B000HBXHGG/ref=acc_glance_sg_ai_6_title/104-6400630-1891955 and it looks like it would be everything that I would need. Thanks ahead of time for any feedback.
"That's the big thing about education. People can be book smart, but not really intelligent about anything else. A lot of times they just taking in all this information and regurgitate it. It's much more important to process it and personalize it. To apply it to your world, to your life. You have to walk the walk, or you can't really report about it honestly."
I was gonna camp in my car, but a bargain I found yesterday helped change my mind: I got a Coleman Corvus 9 x 8 dome tent at Costco for about 50 bucks.
I didn't buy it (yet), but Costco also had a fairly big cooler on wheels with a luggage-style telescoping handle--looked like something one could strap up with supplies and wheel out to tent-only camping, maybe. (I haven't been to Roo yet, so I'm guessing.)
I am now looking for a cot (I'm pricing the Coleman Trailhead, a nice size) and very rudimentary cooking supplies (for coffee and maybe a batch or two of Top Ramen).
Also, maybe, a screenhouse or shade canopy. No-see-ums and mosquitoes LOVE me, so I'd love to put the tent inside a screenhouse, but I think that just might be too elaborate.
It's so hard to get the right balance of durability vs. cost, ease of assembly vs. size, etc. I guess if worst comes to worst, I can go sleep in the car....

Nah...not too elaborate...go for it you'll be thankful in the end.
groovelogik, is that your photo? If so, do you know the size of the screenhouse and tent?
Not "my campsite" but that screenhouse looks to be the average 9x9 setup, it will hold a nice decent size dome tent. Also if you use tarps, you can just place the entrace of the tent at the screenhouse and place tarp over the rest of the tent.
I was wondering if my screenhouse was going to be too big because it looks like they are packed in like sardines there. Look how close those people are parked to one another! Mine is 12.5 x 15, and I was planning on putting my entire tent underneath (which would be about the same if I were to have that 10x10 canopy with a tent attached. I guess).
