As someone on another thread mentioned...swing wide when you park. I haven't been but th is seems like a good idea. I feel like as we're driving to our spots we'll be able to meet the people in the cars around us. I figure make friends, space the cars, share space! That's our plan anyhow.
i always try to swing wide at festivals, especially now that i have suicide doors on my vehicle, but the parking guy was a dick last year and made me repark.
The trick is to pull in wide but not too wide. If you get greedy they will make you back up and pull in again with less room than you might otherwise have. It's kind of an art where you try and guess where the parker will question whether to make you repark but decide not to. Just be try and be "reasonably selfish."
For those of you in the South who have access to a Piggly Wiggly-- I saw a sweet 12 X 12 shade tent/screen house for $99. It looked very sturdy to me and the roof was made in two pieces, kind of a heat and wind vent. I would still stake it down on the corners tho'.
YARD SALES!!!! i got my camelbak (unused, new with tags) at a yard sale last year for $2, yes only two dollars! the best deal ive ever bargained, so the next time you see that ratty cardboard "yard sale>> this way" sign, think twice before giving it the cold shoulder!

I found this little nifty hand sanitizer at CVS today. It's the size of a pen (looks like one, too) and is a spray . . . says there's 70+ sprays in each container. It is CVS brand. I thought this would save a lot of room rather than a bottle of hand sanitizer. They only cost $1.50, too!

i got a Kelsyus portable hammock for my birthday and my mom said she found it for forty bucks at Dick's Sporting Goods. If anyone was looking for one of these hammocks, might wanna check out Dicks because I know they are usually over a hundred bucks.
i'm about to buy that cabela's ez up here pretty soon. I think the rest of my list I can wait till memorial day.
I was scouring ebay in the hopes of a good used ezup, but I'm not convinced and even the fairly priced ones end up about the same as the cabelas price of $120. And I'd rather have it from a reputable retailer at that point, so meh.
I'm getting very excited and I'm starting to make lists. oy. ><
We treat mishaps like sinking ships and I know that I don't want to be out to drift Well I can see it in your eyes like I taste your lips and They both tell me that we're better than this

Anyone know a good deal on air beds with pumps? I dont know what to look for with the pump option. Is there a pump that can connect to the car?
you can probably find it cheaper somewhere else, but here's one! (i like buying from REI though, because you can always return it if anything goes wrong with it, at any time) www.rei.com/product/750959

This isn't as much a deal as just a piece of advice..
I got a case of MREs (12) off of ebay for $50 including shipping. I'm splitting them with my 'Roo buddy, so I'll have 6 for 3 days.
$25 (approx. $4.25/each) for 6 meals, and I don't have to bring a stove / cooler. All you need is a few ounces of water and you've got a (decently) tasty meal, complete with side items, deserts, a snack for later, drink mix, cutlery, a mini Tobasco bottle, and even wet-naps and toilet paper. Hell, it's even got gum in it.
Not to mention the mass amounts of calories to keep you going throughout the day, and the clogging factor, which saves time and prevents crabs.

My friend had a surplus of PostKatrina MREs they look pretty decent. But I dont think my group wants to rough it all that much. I would be totally for it plus I can get my hands on some free ones. Alas no, I have to bring "real" food heh.

Is it just me or for this canopy (marked down from $209 to $69) to weigh 6LBS musn't it be made of toothpicks and sheer cotton? Do you think this is a mistake?
Long url's don't work very well in posts; if they are longer than one line you can't easily click on them. If you have a long link, try running it through www.tinyurl.com
