Is it just me or for this canopy (marked down from $209 to $69) to weigh 6LBS musn't it be made of toothpicks and sheer cotton? Do you think this is a mistake?

I dunno If these are deals or not... but... I just got about 100 glow sticks from my local Party City and the local K-Mart has a couple of shade tents on clearance (its probably a regional thing though) one is a 12x with netting for 70 the other i think a 15x for around the same price

I have done some shopping around online for Camelbaks and this is the best deal I can find. I ordered one to see what the quality was like and it is perfect for the price - I also will probably only use it for Bonnaroo. It's also a good size and not too big.
Mine arrived and I returned the 2L pack I bought for $30 at Walmart. This one is much better cause it a 3L not as much backpack space but thats fine. Definately a good deal. Thanks girl.

I got one of the Geo things from Coleman, also -- thanks!!!
Please report back, groove -- if it shows up in time (doubtful), I'll be taking it to McDowell Mountain Fest this coming weekend.
It might show up. I ordered mine at 10PM last night and I received a "Order Shipped" e-mail at 12AM. Got the tracking number and everything. According to FedEX, my order already left town.

NICE!
I see that mine left this afternoon -- coming from Kansas, so it might just make it by Thursday night. Anybody know how big these things are in their most compact state? Would it be an issue checking it on a plane? I've yet to come across an item I can't travel with, but ya never know. ;D

Not sure but it comes in a bag with wheels and a telescoping handle, I'm sure that it is something you can check onto a plane. I should have more answers after this weekend, i have tenative plans to help my friend set hers up since she is a camping novice. I shall return with answers...

Check out the Coleman site....I know they have pdf files of the owners' manuals, which may contain that info.
I've been looking at that Coleman GeoSport shade, and it looks good, but my question is about the guy lines... Are they absolutely required? You hear plenty of reasons why guy lines are a bad idea at Roo. Can this thing be stabilized by another means? Cinder blocks?

Just stake down the corners - there should be loops at the bottom where it attaches to the poles. That should be enough for under 40mph winds.

Guy lines are cheap, light, and easy to put up. Cinderblocks are heavy, can do damage to your tent floor, and are no fun should someone accidentally fall into your camp. Put them outside your tent, and they're just as bad as guy lines. Just my 2 cents.

Thanks for the tip. I figured there had to be a good way to tie that thing down without doubling the footprint of our campsite. Karma to you, my friend, as well as to the person who posted the link to eBay in the first place. The seller has one of these shade tents left, if anyone's interested.
does anybody knwo where I can find a relatively cheap (but big... actually i dunno how big we are going to need) 5-day cooler, preferably with wheels?
Mick, I just saw 2 different versions at WalMart that were pretty inexpensive. The Rubbermaid version had bigger, nicer-looking wheels than the Igloo version, so i will likely get one of those.
However, I remember reading a post on here one time about how you might want to avoid getting coolers with wheels, as it makes them that much easier to steal!
I got the rubbermaid with wheels. I prefer not to assume that something will be stolen, so don't let that hinder your decision!
But, of course that is something to consider. I'm just sayin' don't make it harder on yourself if you plan on going to tent-only.
True.....if you have to haul everything to tent-only, then definitely get one with wheels. If it's sturdy enough, you might be able to pile other stuff on it, as well.

Thanks! I just got one of these too. There are still a few popping up at the price. Just keep Ebay searching for "Coleman 15 x 15". We should see these things all over Roo. Look for mine in VIP.
