Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I saw gates thinking they would bring me out. There were 3 'bonnaroo workers' sitting there but, they were all talking and obviously not paying attention....and I ended up in the VIP...took me about 10 minutes to figure it out! I did get a nice pic of a girl graffiting tho! It's on my mom's computer...i'll post it another time. Maybe somebody will reconize her!
I posted this question elsewhere, but you all are so knowledge-able about VIP that I'm sure you'll know the answer...
My husband and I have VIP tickets for this summer (our first Bonnaroo), and being neophytes, we booked ourselves at a nearby bed and breakfast. We'd like to set up a tent in VIP, but can we come and go from the festival site to stay in the B&B also? Would we have to park in day parking to do that? We're just trying to decide whether to embrace the whole camp experience (which from this thread doesn't sound too bad - I was imagining the GA experience) or to hang on to the B&B reservations in case we need a quiet night sleep. I'm mid-thirties - haven't camped for a while - up for new experiences, but any suggestions?
hf osborn -- you'd be able to zip in and out to your B&B quite easily, as the VIP access is just off of Hiway 41 ... but don't do it. Give the B&B the old heave-ho; save it for a fall weekend, not a raucous party.

Good thinkin', CKS! It's probably the best of both worlds - comfortable sleeping arrangements, you can cook your own food or just 'live off the land', and no one's got to stay sober enough to drive home . Price-wise, the rental should be either the same or less than the B&B.

The B&B will end up being a pain in your rear end. Stay on-site. Silicone gel earplugs will be fine for getting sleep, you'll wear yourself out every day with all the activity, sleeping won't be a problem as long as you can stay comfortable.

Can someone reiterate the food situation in VIP for me? It appears that they only serve between noon and 9pm, is that correct? I am trying to come up with a list of how much food i need to bring with me. i was hoping for none, but it appears that's not the case.
Friday last year we were awakened early by the main stage sound check so got up and cooked a big breakfast outside the RV. The wife and I tailgate a lot so it was a typical pre game breakfast which is a major spread. I was then amazed to see the spread they put out for us at noon! And it pretty much stayed out for the day. I was annoyed that I wasn't hungry! Saturday we skipped breakfast and waited for the spread. This year we'll just take some snack type stuff and let the caterer do the cooking!
We treat mishaps like sinking ships and I know that I don't want to be out to drift Well I can see it in your eyes like I taste your lips and They both tell me that we're better than this

Is there a mist tent in the VIP section?
Well I have a chair, an automatic mister, a fan, and its all under my tent....I think we might a mist tent in VIP ;D Be sure to stop by and have a drink or two.
^^^From your pic, I assume the yellow circle is where your camp was. What time did you arrive to be in that area? What advice do you have about arrival time for VIP to get up closest to the stage, hospitality tent? Is this the best place to camp within the VIP section, or is best to be closer to the back for some reason?
Yes, the yellow is our camp. This pic was taken Sunday mid-day. We arrived Thursday around noon to 1:00pm-ish. I liked it there because it was near the bathrooms (marked in blue) and it was quiet. But, like Alisa said, it's all pretty darn good.

lol, i'd NEVER consider doing vip for any other kind of festival/concert, but when you break it down it's $100 more a day for free food, very cheap drinks, being right by the big stage (with your car/RV), not having to wait in the long line along the highway to get in, being allowed to take whatever you want into centeroo (even smuggled babies) and unlimited showers and nearby/clean potties.
sounds pretty good to me!
for the record, i'm still on the fence myself!
Ooooh, I have a VIP ticket. Is beer cheaper for us as well? I didn't even think about that until now!

yep! not sure exactly how much though (oh and it's FREE on thursday night!)

Yes, beer is cheaper in VIP. It's draft beer, Bud, Bud light and some better brands (Sweetwater, I think), too. I think it's $1 or $2 cheaper than buying it in Centeroo.
It was a disappointment that breakfast wasn't served and that the hospitality tent didn't open until lunchtime; however, I have high hope that 2007 will be different as I know a lot of people complained about it. About a month after Roo, VIP'ers were sent a survery of their experience and given a chance to give recommendations. Lets hope they listen and make us some breakfast. Hangovers will be oh so much easier to deal with with some hot, greasy eggs. Yum.
Has anyone found out if they are going to add a breakfast/brunch option this year in the hospitality tent?
Or in general, has anyone heard of any differences/improvements to the VIP area for 2007? It seems like they tweak some things every year.

if you are getting vip to be close i would not get it. all you have to do is get a handicap pass and they park you directly behind what stage. did it last year and could see the bands less than 75 feet from my camp.
