I've got a question that I have been pondering since last Bonnaroo. One the hardest, actually the only hard thing outside of not melting in the sun, was finding any diversity in canned beer selection prior to coming down. Sure you've got your domestic choices, but this can get make the non-domestic trained bowels play wacky tricks after the first couple six packs.
I really want to respect the no glass rule, because I would absolutely hate to cut by someones broken bottle. Hence, I do not want to try to sneak in any bottles in, but I would also like to have a variety of beers to choose from that don't start with Coors or Bud. Any suggestions?
Side Note, but still related: Were coming in an RV, do you think keeping a keg cold is possible? Are kegs allowed?

These days, there are about two dozen small U.S. brewers or brewpubs (bars that brew on site) and a half-dozen more breweries in Canada that are canning their offerings.
Dales Pale Ale heads the list. Out of Chapel hiss is Rams Head India Pale Ale and Leaderboard Lager.
Of course my favorite cheap american canned beer is easily Yuengling - easy on the wallet easy on the pallet

HOW the heck did I lose 2 Karma points. My ego is smashed a bit - was already struggling with 3 points; have tried to be a good neighbor here and bam - a crushing blow
Dale's Pale Ale, Old Chub, now come in cans where I live. (NC) Also, you can get Boddingtons, I know Heineken used to sell those Keg cans, i don't know if they still do, not really a heineken drinker. I think some of the Mexican beers come in cans as well. Personally though, i have no problem with Budweiser and Miller Lite, but a magic hat or sierra nevada to wake up to is always nice. Oh well, i'll stick with the Dale's this year.

about the bottles - i bring them every year and just make sure to be super careful with bagging them when they're empty. for me personally, i'm not a beer fan, so it's hard to avoid bottles... and i can't give up my traditional roo margaritas now ;D just make sure to pack them well hidden - the best idea is in a suitcase, underneath clothes - they're not going to check every item in your car, but they will check obvious places like coolers.

I love Guinness but sometimes you need something cold and Guinness is wasted if it's ice cold. You can find some Mexican beers in cans too like Tecate and Negro Modelo, that does the trick. Dale's Pale is pretty good for a canned beer.
i know it's a domestic, but michelob (not light) is pretty good stuff. it's a little more than bud (1 or 2 bucks a 12) but has a much richer beer taste. not h2o downed. in cans too!
wittekerke is a Belgium white ale. bavik is a Belgium Pilsner Hobogoblin an english ale I can't remember the name but it's an Abby ale I know that in the name. Murphys Stout
There are several around I happen to be lucky with three great places to get beer around Cincinnati. So I can pick and choose what cans I want to bring in.
If you have time to suck down a keg at your campsite, you are gonna miss something in Centeroo. But if you invite enough of us to party with you it could work. Let's talk
Maybe we could all band together and suggest to our favorite brewery to put some of their beer in a special edition bonnaroo can. My vote would be for the sweet water that they had last year, so good . . . and I haven't been able to find it in my home town.
Next question: Does anyone know a good place to shop to find these canned beers on our way to Bonnaroo? Were starting out with our RV in Atlanta.
I love Guinness but it just seems too damn heavy for Roo. Maybe late night. My money is on Boddington's. I know that Corona also comes in cans and that's always refreshing (plus the limes are healthy and seem to prevent hangovers).
Something I have seen at roo and a few other places is beer in plastic bottles. Does plastic diminish the taste of beer more than a can? If not, one would think that you would see more production of plastic, especially the quality stuff.
I found this liquor store here in Atlanta that has a really great beer selection, I was noticing how many things they had in cans. Next time I stop there I'll write them all down.
I really like Boddingtons Guiness and Tetley's if I'm feeling fru fru else I'm drinking PBR as far as cans go
